02/03/2021 – Daily Football Predictions

For the first time in a while, there are no Champions League games on Tuesday. However, we still have games to look forward to as football across Europe faces a tight schedule around this period.

Domestic action remains on course for midweek and we should see a couple of them in the coming days.

First of, we’ll be taking a look at two key fixtures that could impact the title race in their respective league.

Manchester City vs Wolves Prediction and Tips

Tip: Manchester City win

Can anyone stop Manchester City right now? We continue to ask this question week after week. The Citizens are just about unplayable at the moment and their run of 20 successive wins is testament to that. They faced their most difficult tie in a while against West Ham at the weekend but managed to claim a 2-1 win despite a largely rotated squad. Wolves also come into this game with decent form, having gone unbeaten in their last five league games. It could be a ‘tight’ affair but we expect City to take all three points at the end of the day. Bet365 have 1.16 odds, Bet9ja have 1.19 and 1xbet have 1.21.

Over 2.5 Goals

Four out of City’s last five league games has seen at least three goals scored, with the Citizens scoring up to two on all occasions. The only exception was the 1-0 victory over Arsenal. In a game where Wolves could grab a goal as well, this fixture is well set up to see a decent number of goals. The first leg back in September saw City win by a 3-1 score-line and we’re expecting another similar result today. Bet9ja have 1.63 odds, Bet365 have 1.66 and 1xbet have 1.73.

Anytime Goal-scorer (Manchester City)

Raheem Sterling

It’s becoming difficult to predict who could likely score for Manchester City. The reason is because you don’t know who could start or be dropped to the bench at any point in time. Guardiola left many scratching their heads after putting Sterling on the bench for their most recent victory over West Ham. However, City’s top scorer is expected to start tonight and we’re backing him to grab at least a goal at the Etihad. Bet365 have 2.25 odds while Bet9ja have 2.50.

Gabriel Jesus

In similar fashion, Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus also moved to the bench at the weekend with Sergio Aguero taking his place. We’re also expecting the forward to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup and he’s definitely a top candidate to get in on the goals. Bet365 have 1.95 odds for him to score while Bet9ja have theirs at 2.40.

Anytime Goal-scorer (Wolves)

Ruben Neves

The Portuguese midfielder has been the go-to man for Wolves in their recent fixtures. He has scored a goal in their last three victories, scoring three of his side’s last five league goals in the process. Two out of those goals were from the penalty spot and his role as Wolves spot-kick taker gives him a good chance of scoring in a good number of their games. There is EXTREME value with Ruben Neves to score as Bet365 are offering a whopping 13.00 odds while Bet9ja have it even better at 14.00.

Pedro Neto

Alongside Ruben Neves, he is Wolves’ joint top scorer in the league with five goals this season. He has been the bright spark in their attack and has proven to be consistent this season. If any player is to produce a moment of magic or a brilliant individual goal, it’s most likely to come from the youngster. Value also comes with Neto as Bet365 have 6.50 odds and Bet9ja have 7.00.

Juventus vs Spezia Prediction and Tips

Tip: Juventus win

Furthering their recent decline, which comes after a previously impressive start to 2021, Juventus were fortunate to escape with a 1-1 draw versus Verona on Saturday, as Cristiano Ronaldo’s 19th league goal of the season was cancelled out by Antonin Barak’s 77th-minute header.

For the first time in a decade, we are left with the possibility that Juventus might end the season without the Scudetto. However, they have a chance to reduce Inter’s lead at the top to seven points and we can see them taking all three points against Spezia today. Bet365 have 1.22 odds, Bet9ja have 1.24 and 1xbet have 1.27.

Over 1.5 Goals

Four out of Juventus five last league games have seen at least two goals. The only exception was their 1-0 loss to Napoli few weeks ago. Coming off the back of a disappointing result from last weekend, we expect Juventus to come out guns blazing for this one and they could yet bring their attacking a-game on home turf. Bet9ja have 1.20 odds while Bet365 and 1xbet have 1.25.

Both teams to score: NO

While Juventus might have struggled with scoring goals this season, they have the best defence by far of any side in the Serie A. They have conceded only 20 goals this term and four of their last five games has seen both teams to score ‘NO’ play out correctly, with Juventus keeping a clean sheet in three of them. We’re expecting another shutout to happen once again today. 1xbet have 1.74 odds while Bet9ja and Bet365 have 1.75.

Anytime Goal-scorer

Ronaldo

CR7 continues to be Mr Reliable for Juventus this season. At the age of 36, he continues to wax on stronger with 19 league goals to his name. Last time out, it was his goal that spared Juve’s blushes against Verona. With Juve looking less likely to win the league, it could leave Ronaldo with more motivation to win the Capocannoniere. Bet365 have 1.44 odds for him to score while Bet9ja have theirs at 1.80.

Chiesa

Juventus’ reliance on goals from Cristiano Ronaldo this season is already properly documented. However, on days when CR7 doesn’t turn up, Chiesa has been the next best thing. He is Juve’s next top-scorer with six goals to his name and he could be value to grab a goal today. Bet365 have 2.10 odds while Bet9ja have 2.50.
