Yesterday was another good day in the Champions League and we saw some interesting games and results for sure. The picks from yesterday’s games include Liverpool’s 5-0 thrashing of Atalanta, Monchengladbach’s 6-0 thrashing of Shakhtar Donetsk and Bayern Munich’s 6-2 thrashing of Salzburg. It was indeed a night of goals.
From our picks yesterday, Inter and Real Madrid both scored and we saw over 2.5 goals as well in the 3-2 victory for Los Blancos. Off to our straight wins, Bayern Munich, Ajax and Manchester City all won as we predicted. Atletico could only manage a draw.
Elsewhere, all our over 2.5 tips came and only Raheem Sterling failed to score from the goal scorer tips. Lewandowski and Salah both found the back of the net.
Lots of good games to look forward to once again and we’re here to do what we do best; doing all the hardwork and giving you the best tips of the day.
Straight Wins
Manchester United travel to Turkey to take on Basaksehir in their third game of the Champions League this season. The Red Devils have won ‘tougher’ games in the group against PSG and Leipzig and they are expected to stroll over their opponents today. In addition to that, the Red Devils are coming off the back of a surprise loss to Arsenal and they will be eager to put that behind them with a big win today. Bet9ja have 1.42 odds while Betking have 1.45 odds.
Juventus also travel to Hungary to take on Ferencvaros and we expect them to also brush aside their opponents. The Hungarian side are bottom of group G and it seems they could well be the whooping boys of the group. After losing to Barcelona last week, Andrea Pirlo’s men will be aiming for a big win today. Bet9ja have 1.27 odds while Betking have 1.34.
Chelsea welcome Rennes to the Stamford Bridge where they look to continue their unbeaten run so far this term. The Blues will be high on confidence after their 3-0 win over Burnley and we expect them to claim a victory over bottom placed Rennes. Bet9ja have 1.30 odds while Betking have 1.34.
In the second game of group E, Sevilla take on Krasnodar and it looks like a clear straight win for the Spanish side on paper. Sevilla suffered a shock loss to Athletic Club in La Liga over the weekend and this game represents a good chance for them to bounce back to winning ways. We expect them to do just that as well. Bet9ja are only offering 1.19 odds while Betking have 1.25.
Over 2.5
We already tipped Juventus to win and we expect them to do it in style. A certain Cristiano Ronaldo is back to join the goal threat and we’re expecting at least three goals in the game. Bet9ja have 1.58 odds while Betking have 1.60.
Borussia Dortmund travel to Belgium where they’ll face Club Brugge. Both sides are well equipped to score in this game and it could be a game that could produce a decent amount of goals. Bet9ja have 1.56 odds while Betking have 1.65 odds.
Manchester United have been a different breed in the Champions League this season. They’ve beaten PSG already and also thrashed Leipzig 5-0. Given their ‘anger’ from their loss to Arsenal, we expect them to go guns blazing in this game and it could be a big win for the Red Devils. To that effect, we’re expecting at least three goals. A good value exists here with Bet9ja offering 1.62 odds and Betking offering 1.68.
In a repeat of last season’s Champions League semi-final, Leipzig and PSG will lock horns at the Red Bull Arena. This should have been the featured game for today but for one reason. PSG will be without star duo of Mbappe and Neymar tonight but they still have Moise Kean who can shoulder the goal-scoring burden. Leipzig will also not sit back in this game so we could see a result where both teams score. We’re tipping them for the over 2.5 goals as well. Bet9ja have 1.57 odds while BetKing have 1.65.
Anytime Goal scorer
Rashford
Marcus Rashford has scored in each of his Champions League games so far including a hat-trick from the bench against Leipzig last time out. Given the opposition today, he is a good shout to get on the score-sheet as well. This bet is worth a punt with Bet9ja offering 2.25 odds and Betking offering 2.60.
Greenwood
Given that he starts, the youngster is also a strong name to get a goal. In fact, all of the United attacking names will fancy their chances at a goal. He already grabbed a goal with his first appearance and shot on target in the Champions League this season against Leipzig. Like his teammate above, the odds for the youngster are even better with Bet9ja offering 2.50 odds and Betking offering 3.00.
Werner
With Chelsea taking on Rennes, the German forward is a likely candidate to grab a goal or two. He has five goals from ten total appearances this season and we’re backing him to do so today. He opened his account in the Champions League last week and he’ll be fired up to add more to his tally. Bet9ja have 1.85 odds and Betking have 1.88.
Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is finally back. After missing five games for Juventus due to coronavirus, he was finally available for selection at the weekend. Indeed, he marked his return in style. It took only 126 seconds for Ronaldo to score from the bench before he added yet another 16 minutes later against Spezia. He will be fired up to get one or two against Ferencvaros today. Bet9ja have 1.55 odds and Betking have 1.60.
Football Lover. All-round junkie of the beautiful game. Could be found watching football most of the time. If not he’s writing about them or making some punditry you don’t agree with. A certain bias for Arsenal and Santos FC.
