It’s another weekend and that means it’s back to every punter’s delight in league action. Away from all the cluster if midweek games, we can go back to league action where there can be some consistency at least.
As usual, lots of games are on the cards today across Europe’s top five leagues and we’ll be doing what we do best with the most likely tips to come through from today’s action.
Bayern Munich vs Dortmund Betting Predictions and Tips
Straight Wins
Arsenal will be looking to claim their second successive win in the league when they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley. The Clarets are without a win in their last four outings and have struggled to score as well, only scoring two goals in that time. Bar their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City, Arsenal have scored at least three goals in their last two games, with their most recent victory coming in a 3-1 score-line against Leicester City. The reverse fixture saw Burnley win courtesy of an Aubameyang own goal. The Gunners will be out for revenge and we can see them winning this one. Bet9ja have 1.64 odds, Bet365 have 1.66 and 1xbet have 1.70.
Leicester to beat Brighton Having failed to win in their last two games, Leicester will be aiming to return to winning ways against Brighton at the King Power stadium. Luckily for the Foxes, they take on a Brighton side that has failed to win in their last four outings, losing the last two games in succession. Leicester now have a chance to take second spot and we’re backing them to take all three points today and do just that. Bet365 and Bet9ja have 2.80 odds while 1xbet have 2.85.
RB Leipzig began the new week second-placed and just two points from parity with leaders and champions Bayern Munich. The visitors have won five straight Bundesliga games, yielding an average winning margin of 1.80 across them. A game against Freiburg will not come easy but Leipzig could momentarily go top of the Bundesliga with a win today and we’re backing them to do just that. Bet365 have 1.65 odds, Bet9ja have 1.68 and 1xbet have 1.74.
Barcelona come into the weekend with a lot of confidence. The Catalans staged a comeback against Sevilla in midweek to advance to the Copa del Rey finals. Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 17 games in La Liga and we expect them to extend that with a win against Osasuna today. Depending on other results, a win for Barca could see them move to within two points of leaders Atletico Madrid. Bet365 have 1.53 odds, Bet9ja have 1.58 and 1xbet have 1.67.
In similar fashion, Sevilla will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after a disappointing loss to Barcelona in midweek. Julen Lopetegui’s side have now lost their last two games to Barcelona in different competitions and a game against Elche is good for them at the moment. Elche are rooted to the relegation zone with just one win in their last 19 games and we don’t see them causing any trouble today. Bet9ja have 1.60 odds, Bet365 have 1.61 and 1xbet have 1.62.
Over 2.5 Goals
Over to the Serie A, two attacking sides in Juventus and Lazio take on each other. Juventus still have a mathematical chance to push for the title and you can expect they’ll put out their best foot. Lazio are also firmly in the hunt for European spots and they should be at their best as well. It’s a game where both teams could score and we expect at least three goals after 90 minutes. Bet9ja have 1.68 odds, Bet365 have 1.72 and 1xbet have 1.78.
We move to the Eredivisie where Feyernood take on Venlo. This should be a goal-fuelled game in any case as 18 of Venlo’s last 20 league fixtures produced over 2.5 goals, for an average of 4.3 goals per match across that period. Also the fact no Eredivisie side has seen more of their away games feature both teams scoring (83.33%) than Venlo makes this game a good potential for a decent amount of goals. Bet9ja have 1.35 odds while Bet365 and 1xbet have 1.40.
Over to the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach have faltered of late but remain in the hunt for European places. At least three out of the last five games for both sides has seen the over 2.5 tip come through. Only four points separate both sides and we expect an interesting encounter with a good number of goals to go with. Bet9ja have 1.64 odds, Bet365 have 1.66 and 1xbet have 1.70.
With 55 league goals scored so far, Barcelona are by far the highest goal-scorers in La Liga and are among the top-scoring sides in Europe as well. Three out of Barcelona’s last five games have seen over 2.5 goals. Barcelona have scored at least two goals alone in their last two outings and we can see them going out for even more goals given their form and confidence at the moment. Bet365 have 1.57 odds, Bet9ja have 1.58 and 1xbet have 1.69.
Anytime Goal-scorer
Messi
The Barcelona talisman remains La Liga’s leading scorer with 19 goals to his name. There is suddenly hope that the Catalans are in a title race once again and any of those hopes will rest on this man keeping form. Messi has a good record against Osasuna and there’s a strong possibility he could get to 20 league goals today for yet another season in succession. Bet365 have 1.61 odds while Bet9ja have 1.75.
Aubameyang
The Gabonese forward was on the bench for most of Arsenal’s victory against Leicester and is expected to start this one. Having scored an own goal in the reverse fixture, he’ll be eager to atone for that day and we can expect he’ll be at his best. Two more goals for Aubameyang and he’ll hit double digits for league goals for the third season since he joined the club. Bet365 have 1.90 odds for him to score while Bet9ja have 2.10.
Andre Silva
André Silva has been Frankfurt’s first goal-scorer in all but one of his 14 goal-scoring Bundesliga matches to date. With 19 league goals from 21 games so far, only Lewandowski has scored more league goals than he has across Europe. Frankfurt lost last time after winning four in a row and Silva would no doubt be fired up to get his side back to winning ways. Bet365 have 1.50 odds while Bet9ja have theirs at 1.90.
Ronaldo
CR7 continues to lead the goal-scoring charts in the Serie A with 20 goals so far. In a season where Juventus might not win the title, the top-scorer award might perhaps come as ‘consolation’ for Ronaldo. He is yet to win that award since he arrived in Italy and he’ll be eager to keep up his good form and withstand pressure from others. Bet365 have 1.66 odds while Bet9ja have 1.80.
