07/04/2021 – Daily Football Predictions

Away from Champions League games, we also have some Serie A games that we won’t miss for anything. These games could determine the title race and it would be wrong if we don’t pay attention to them as well.

Inter vs Sassuolo Betting Tips

Preview

Inter Milan have been simply excellent in the 2020/21 Serie A season, losing just twice while grabbing the maximum quota of three points in 21 of their 28 fixtures till date. Even though they suffered disappointment in the UEFA Champions League, the Nerazzurri look on course to lift the Scudetto after a gap of 11 years, with neighbours AC Milan eight points adrift in second.

Sassuolo, on the other hand, have been one of the more eye-catching teams in Serie A this season, although their expansive brand of football has often worked against them as well. Nevertheless, the Neroverdi look primed for a top half finish this season, even if their recent run of one win in six games might have been underwhelming.

The reverse fixture, played at Stadio Citta del Tricolore back in November, saw Inter Milan cruise to a 3-0 win over Sassuolo.

Tip: Inter win

We have plenty of reasons to expect the continuation of Inter’s fine attacking run in the matches against I Neroverdi. Sassuolo have been leaking goals with ease throughout the entire season, a consequence of their attacking-minded football under Roberto De Zerbi. Inter are on a run of nine straight Serie A wins and a win could see them extend their lead to 11 points at the top. We expect them to take that initiative. Bet9ja and Bet365 have 1.30 odds while 1xbet have 1.34.

Over 2.5 Goals

Six out of Inter’s last 10 games have witnessed at least over 2.5 goals, with the Nerazzurri scoring a goal in at least nine of their games. This is a game where Sassuolo could easily get on the score-sheet as well and we can expect to see at least three goals after 90 minutes. Bet9ja have 1.43 odds, Bet9ja have 1.44 and 1xbet have 1.46.

Anytime Goal-scorer (Inter Milan)

Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku’s first-half opener in Bologna last time out was his 20th goal of the SA season, although three of his last four competitive goals have arrived after half-time. Only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more league goals than the big Belgian and he continues to spearhead Inter’s charge for a title. He has a good home form and we’re backing him to score today. Bet365 have 1.53 odds while Bet9ja have 1.78.

Lautaro Martinez

As much as Lukaku gets most of the plaudits, Lautaro Martinez has equally been an important figure for Inter in their title charge. He has scored a respectable 14 goals and he’s obviously the next best name for a goal if Lukaku doesn’t score. Bet365 have 1.80 odds while Bet9ja have 2.00 odds.

Juventus vs Napoli Betting Tips

Preview

After being postponed twice, this Serie A fixture between Juventus and Napoli is finally set to be played. This is turning into a season to forget for Juventus though, who appear to be fighting for a top-four finish rather than the title. Furthermore, after gaining just one point from their last two matches, this looks a tough clash vs a side Juventus have lost against in three of their last four competitive games.

A 1-0 home loss vs Benevento last time out here was only Juventus’ third competitive home defeat this season.

Napoli are on the same points as their hosts thanks to four consecutive Serie A victories, including two wins ‘to nil’ vs top-seven sides from their last two away outings. Strong starts were a common theme for the ‘Partenopei‘ during that period as they opened the scoring in all four wins, and netted the first two match goals in three! This is not a top-of-the-table clash but it’s expected to bring fireworks regardless.

Tip: Napoli win or draw

Napoli have won three of their last six matches against Juventus, which includes that penalty shoot-out victory in the Coppa Italia final back in June. The visitors haven’t lost any of their last four matches in all competitions (including friendlies), and head into Sunday’s clash having won their opening two games in Serie A. Juventus dropped points away at Roma last time out, drawing 2-2. At the same time, Napoli claimed a 6-0 victory over Genoa. Bet9ja have 1.74 odds, Bet365 have 1.80 and 1xbet have 1.88.

Both teams to score: YES

There have only been two goalless draws in the last 11-years between Juventus and Napoli, and both of those stalemates arrived in the Coppa Italia. The last four meetings between the pair in Serie A have all ended with both teams getting on the scoreboard. Juventus have failed to keep a single clean sheet in their last five home games against Napoli, and the visitors head into the game on the back of a huge 6-0 victory. With that in mind, we expect both teams to get on the score-sheet. Bet9ja have 1.58 odds, Bet365 have 1.66 and 1xbet have 1.67

Over 2.5 Goals

Over 2.5 goals have been produced in four of the last five encounters between Juventus and Napoli. Each of Juventus’ last five matches in all competitions have seen over 2.5 goals scored. Four of Napoli’s last five competitive games shave also produced over 2.5 goals, so you can see why we’re expecting goals on Sunday.  Bet9ja have 1.68 odds, Bet365 have 1.72 and 1xbet have 1.78.

Anytime Goal-scorer (Juventus)

Cristiano Ronaldo

As always, Juventus will look to Cristiano Ronaldo to provide the spark in attack as he looks to add to his 24 Serie A goals. Last time out, they needed him to earn them appoint against Roma and they’ll be needing his heroics once again to propel them against a familiar foe. Bet365 have 1.72 odds while Bet9ja have 2.00.

Federico Chiesa

Believe it or not, Chiesa is making a point to be one of Juventus’ most important players at the moment. He has scored four goals in his last six outings for the club and has chipped in with 13 goals in total this season, all from midfield. He is consistent at the moment and could come as a value bet to grab a goal. Bet365 have 2.75 odds while Bet9ja have 3.50.

Anytime Goal-scorer (Napoli)

Lorenzo Insigne

The Napoli captain is definitely one of the top names to get a goal for Napoli. He is on top at the moment and has scored four goals in his last six games for the club. He has bagged 14 goals for his side this term and all of them have come in the league, showing how important he has been to their top four quest. Bet365 have 3.10 odds while Bet9ja have 3.50.

Dries Mertens

In similar fashion to Insigne, the Belgian forward has also scored four goals in his last six games. He recently became Napoli’s all-time record appearance maker, with 350 apps to his name. He has become something of a cult hero in Naples and continues to show his worth week in week out. Bet365 have 2.75 odds while Bet9ja have 3.00.
