On the bank holiday Sunday, Arsenal plays host to Newcastle in a crucial Premier League match. Around this time last year, the Gunners were defeated at St. James’ Park. They must win to stay in the title chase.

After a poor stretch of play, Mikel Arteta’s team is back on track thanks to their victory over Chelsea on Tuesday, but there isn’t much more room for mistakes.

The first game on Sunday’s schedule takes place at Gewiss Stadium between Atalanta and Juventus. A victory over Juventus would likely advance the Orobici to the Champions League spot as they aim for their fourth straight league victory. On the other hand, the Bianconeri hope to build on a tenacious 2-1 victory against Lecce. Only one victory had been achieved by Max Allegri’s team in their previous five away contests.

Newcastle v Arsenal

The Premier League season is about to conclude. There are still four rounds left in the tournament, and both the battles at the top and bottom of the standings are compelling. This game most certainly merits the moniker “round derby.”

Newcastle is having a fantastic year and is extremely near to big success and a spot in the Champions League for the first time in 20 years. They currently have 65 points, and Liverpool is the only side that poses a threat to their ability to reach the objective.

The perception is that Newcastle will finish the season successfully despite having a 6-point advantage and having played one fewer game than the Reds. In the previous round, they defeated Southampton 3:1 at home thanks to a comeback in the second half, and Callum Wilson’s two goals once again spoke to their outstanding performance.

Arsenal finally snapped a 4-game losing streak when they defeated Chelsea 3:1 at home in the round prior. Granit Xhaka contributed two assists and Martin Odegaard two goals as the Gunners earned a significant victory. Undoubtedly, the Arsenal team is disappointed after losing the top spot they had for the majority of the season, but this victory over a formidable foe will provide some relief before the last games.

When Newcastle plays second-place Arsenal on Sunday, they’ll be trying to take advantage of their home-field advantage. The Gunners must win to stay in the title chase, but they must travel to play an in-form Newcastle team for the full 90 minutes.

It is turning into an excellent season for Newcastle, who have won their last four home games and look set to secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

Because of Newcastle’s and Arsenal’s recent performances, we believe that Sunday’s match will feature plenty of goalmouth activity. Over 2.5 goals have been scored and both teams have scored in five of the hosts’ last six Premier League games.

The same can be stated about each of Arsenal’s last six games, therefore it should be clear why we believe goals will be scored this weekend. Arsenal’s defense isn’t much better, having allowed as many as 12 goals in the last five games, while Newcastle’s defense, which is still the best in the league, has only managed to keep a clean sheet once in the last 13 games. There will be no calculations, and this is one of those games that moves quickly and offers lots of opportunities.

Atalanta v Juventus

Atlanta performed admirably throughout the previous few seasons, even placing third three times. They have 58 points from 33 games, which puts them in fifth position this season and extremely near to the top four spots and the Champions League. Juventus are two points behind Inter in fourth place and five points behind Juventus in third place with five rounds remaining in the season.

They have a three-game winning streak, so this game is coming at the perfect time. The last two seasons were less successful, finishing fourth, after a dominant nine seasons in which they won nine Scudettos.

There’s a chance that this season will be like the last two. They are now in third place but have no chance of overtaking Napoli, who has a 16-point advantage and have played one fewer game. Napoli will likely win the championship soon. Thus, their sole objective in Serie A this season is to place in the top four.

In Serie A, Juventus is performing significantly better at home. They rank first at home with 39 points while only having the sixth-best record away from home with 24 points.

In Serie A, Atalanta has won three straight games as they get ready to meet top-four foe Juventus on Sunday.  With their third straight Serie A victory over Spezia on Wednesday night, Atalanta has closed the gap on fourth place in the standings to just two points.

With a tight victory against Lecce in midweek, Juventus, who are currently in third place, ended a four-game losing streak. However, their performance did not impress, and they may struggle against an in-form Atalanta in Bergamo.

The home team hasn’t lost in any of their past six league encounters with Juventus, and with the help of their home crowd, they may aim for the most points possible.

A thrilling six goals were scored in the previous meeting between Atalanta and Juventus in Turin, and a similar exciting matchup may be in store when the teams square again this weekend. We predict that the game on Sunday will include over 2.5 goals, as it has in five of La Dea’s last seven Serie A assignments.
