08-08-23 Daily Football Predictions: France vs Morocco

Betting Tips

France and Morocco will play in an intriguing World Cup 1/8 final on Tuesday at Coopers Stadium in Adelaide. One of the major surprises of the competition is Morocco’s arrival in the knockout round, despite the fact that most predicted France.  Morocco has had a spectacular World Cup, reaching the round of 16 in their inaugural participation. The Atlas Lionesses achieved this by coming in second in Group H. They’ll be hoping to shock France, who took first place in Group F, once more.

France vs Morocco

France finished fourth in 2011 and the previous two iterations saw them go to the quarterfinals. To make up for their surprising draw against Jamaica in their Group F opener, Les Bleues defeated Brazil 2-1. They defeated Panama 6-3 to finish their group-stage campaign. In their lone prior meeting, France destroyed Morocco 6-0.

Morocco’s campaign, however, got off to a disastrous 6-0 loss in their Group H opener to Germany. The team has now proven many people incorrect, as they are still in the tournament. The Lionesses of Atlas have exceeded expectations for a World Cup debutant team. They defeated South Korea and Colombia by scores of 1-0 to advance to the Round of 16.

Despite only earning one point against Jamaica in the tournament’s initial round, France went on to defeat Brazil and Panama twice, finishing top in the group to go to the knockout stage. They defeated Panama 6-3 in the pivotal match. Even though France outperformed, Herve Renard, the head coach, should be concerned about the three goals conceded.

Morocco lost its opening match of the tournament to Germany 6-0 before picking up two narrow victories over South Korea and Colombia. For Reynald Pedros’ team to go to the knockout round in their first World Cup campaign, that was more than enough.

The most successful women’s club in Europe, the Legion from Lyon, will be relied upon by France. The attack will be led by Kadidiatou Diani, who is aiming for her third goal, while Eugenie Le Sommer, a creative midfielder (one goal), is also anticipated to play a significant role.

Morocco, meanwhile, has strengthened its defense after being humiliated by Germany. To go further, they must however score more goals. Due to their better quality and reputation, France will start as the favorite.

The main reason for our BTTS prediction is France. In their most recent two games, they scored eight goals, but they also shockingly gave up four goals in that time frame. However, Morocco has scored in its last two games, so we should anticipate them to do so against a porous French defense. The best wager for this matchup should be for both teams to score, yes.
