Last time out turned out to be a fairly good day at the office from our tips. The featured match did not play out as expected (blame it on Arsenal who failed to score once again).
Moving on, all our straight wins played out correctly and only two out of five over 2.5 picks didn’t come through.
The most special part of Sunday’s picks was the fact that all our goal scorer options played out correctly for the first time.
On to today’s action, we have the final Champions League group game to witness. Some sides have already qualified and can afford to be complacent. For others, it’s a fight to the finish.
We’ll continue what we do best as we bring you the best picks from today’s action.
Barcelona vs Juventus Prediction
Barcelona will be looking to secure first position in Group G when they welcome Italian champions Juventus to Camp Nou in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Both sides have already booked their spot in the last-16 stage of the competition, while Barca have a three-point cushion over second-placed Juve, meaning that the Old Lady have serious work to do if they are to snatch first position from Ronald Koeman’s side on the final matchday.
The Catalan giants are very much in charge of first position in the section and will only give up top spot to Juve if they lose by three goals or more, or by any two-goal margin other than 2-0.
Koeman’s side recorded home wins over Ferencvaros and Dynamo Kiev either side of an impressive 2-0 victory away to Juve, before making it four from four with a 4-0 success against Dynamo on November 24.
Barca were again impressive away to Ferencvaros last week, recording a 3-0 victory to continue their 100% record in this season’s competition, and it will be fascinating to see how far the La Liga giants can progress as last term’s 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich must still be in the back of their minds.
Juve, as mentioned, are also already through to the next round, having picked up 12 points from their five group matches courtesy of four wins and one defeat.
The Old Lady will have to come up with a special result to secure first position, but they did beat Dynamo 3-0 at home last week and are certainly capable of running up a big score against their inconsistent hosts.
Goals: Over 2.5
The reality is that both teams have nothing to lose with both sides already through but pride will see both sides pushing for a strong win regardless. With a faltering Barcelona defence as well, we’re predicting a game where we could see a good number of goals on show. Bet9ja have 1.44 odds and Betway have 1.47 odds.
Straight Wins
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 15 games in all competitions. They take on Krasnodar today and we can see them recording another win. The Blues already won the reverse fixture 4-0 away and you can imagine they would complete the job at Stamford Bridge. We expect a comprehensive win for them today. Betway has 1.26 of, Bet9ja have 1.26 and 1xbet have 1.28 odds.
PSG take on Basaksehir in a game where they can’t afford to slip up. With Leipzig and Manchester United on 9 points as well, the French outfit know the only result they must aim for is a win. Given that it is an home clash as well, we can see them dispatching their Turkish rivals at the end of the day. Odds are not so enticing but we expect a win regardless. Betway has 1.10 odds, Bet9ja have 1.10 odds and 1xbet have 1.12 odds
Dortmund take on Zenit in Group G and we predict an easy win for the German side. Zenit have only one point from their five group stage games so far and we see them falling to another loss once again. Dortmund might have qualified for the knockout stages but they’ll be aiming for a win to nail down first spot. Betway has 1.71 odds, Bet9ja have 1.70 odds and 1xbet have 1.73 odds.
In the second match of Group E, Sevilla travel to France to take on Rennes and this match represents a big chance for the La Liga side to get back tow inning ways. They have lost their last two games to Chelsea and Real Madrid and they’ll be fired up for a victory against Rennes. The Ligue 1 side also has just one point from all their group games. Betway has 2.25 odds, Bet9ja have 2.27 odds and 1xbet have 2.33 odds.
Over 2.5 Goals
In what could be one of the biggest games of the week, Leipzig welcome Manchester United to their home turf for the final fixture. Given the reality that one of both sides could go to the Europa League, we expect a game where both teams go all out from the onset and that should translate to goals. Betway has 1.52 odds, Bet9ja have 1.50 odds and 1xbet have 1.57 odds
We already tipped Chelsea to win and we expect them to win big as well. Five out of the Blues last seven games has seen over 2.5 goals at least and we expect them to deliver that today once again. Betway has 1.44 odds, Bet9ja have 1.42 odds and 1xbet have 1.50 odds
Lazio take on Club Brugge and we expect this game to bring at least three goals tonight. Whoever wins this game will be guaranteed of second position at worst in the group and that means there is all to play for when both sides meet. We expect this to convert to goals. Betway has 1.64 odds, Bet9ja have 1.62 odds and 1xbet have 1.71 odds
Finally, PSG take on Istanbul Basaksehir and they will be more than motivated to win as we explained above. We already tipped them to win and we could see a decent number of goals on show. If PSG score that early goal tonight, it could be a rout for the French champions. Betway has 1.23 odds, Bet9ja have 1.19 odds and 1xbet have 1.25 odds.
Anytime Goal-scorer
Neymar
Games like these are wired up for Neymar to get on the score-sheet. The Brazilian has also scored in two of PSG’s last three games and is another good shout to find the back of the net today. Betway has 1.53 odds while Bet9ja have 1.55 odds.
Rashford
There’s something about Manchester United playing away and Rashford scoring in that fixture. Cavani and Martial are doubts for this game and most of the goal-scoring burden as well as chances could come to the Englishman. He’s a good shout to score and with good value too. Betway has 3.00 odds while Bet9ja have 3.20 odds.
Werner
The German forward missed a number of chances for the Blues at the weekend and has not scored for a bit now. However, this game represents a good chance for him to get back to scoring ways. Betway has 1.90 odds while Bet9ja have 1.90 odds
Ronaldo
This fixture might be the last time we witness a Ronaldo vs Messi confrontation. In fact, that’s the whole essence of this game especially when you consider Barcelona and Juventus are qualified already. CR7 never shies away from competition and he’ll be fired up to score in this kind of game. Betway has 2.30 odds while Bet9ja have 2.26 odds.
Messi
Barcelona lost last weekend to Cadiz but they remain unbeaten in the Champions League so far. The thoughts of keeping that record intact and also the Messi vs Ronaldo angle could equally keep him fired up for a goal or two as well. Betway has 2.10 odds while Bet9ja have 2.09 odds.
