Last time out on Sunday, we saw a very interesting turnout regarding our tips and results in general.
The talking point of the day came at Anfield. Alisson had one of the most shocking games for Liverpool as City ran riot to a 4-1 victory. That score-line meant our ‘both teams to score’ and ‘over 2.5’ tip for that game came through. Two of the four players we also tipped to score got on the score-sheet, Salah scored a consolation goal for Liverpool while Sterling got his 100th goal under Pep Guardiola.
Moving on, we saw 100% success in the straight-win tips as all selected teams won. For the over 2.5 market, only one out of four played out correctly. The goal-scorer section was decent as well with three out of five players getting on the score-sheet. Messi, Ibrahimovic and Son scored while Werner and Neymar fired blanks.
Today, we have a big game on the cards and we won’t miss it for anything.
Fierce rivals Juventus and Inter Milan resume hostilities in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday evening, with the hosts having one foot in the final after a 2-1 first-leg success last week.
The winner of this Derby d’Italia decider will meet Atalanta or Napoli in May’s showpiece occasion; with Cristiano Ronaldo’s San Siro double putting Juve in the driving seat ahead of part two in Turin.
Juventus
Mirroring the ascendant form of Serie A top scorer and line-leading talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus have clicked into top gear in 2021
Defeat to Inter last month – when Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo was singularly outmaneuvered by his former manager Antonio Conte – seems to have acted as something of a catalyst for the Bianconeri.
It has proved to be the only defeat they have suffered since the turn of the year, during a fixture-packed run featuring league, cup and Supercoppa success – a six-game streak that has elevated them to third in the Serie A standings, just five points behind second-placed Inter, with a game still in hand.
In January, Juventus managed to turn over Milan, Napoli and Inter – among several others – keeping clean sheets in all five league matches since losing at San Siro. Their latest victims, at the weekend, were close contenders Roma, who they leapfrogged in the league table as a result of a comfortable 2-0 victory – the highlight of which was Ronaldo’s imperious left-footed opening strike.
It was a third goal in less than a week for the Bianconeri’s main man, after Juve won the first leg of the Coppa semi thanks to his well-taken brace, overturning Inter’s opener from Lautaro Martinez.
Juve look primed to not lose tonight but you never can say in these sort of fixtures.
Inter Milan
The task facing Inter in overturning their deficit is substantial, as they have not won away to the Bianconeri since 2013.
Antonio Conte’s side warmed up for the challenge by swatting aside Fiorentina at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Friday evening. A delightful first-half effort from Nicolo Barella was followed by Ivan Perisic’s goal after the break to send them a point clear at the top of the table, before Milan reclaimed the summit with a win over Crotone two days later.
Serie A’s top scorers – since the restart of the top five European leagues post-lockdown, only Bayern Munich have registered more goals than Inter’s 77. That again shows that they are capable of scoring from all quarters in Florence, with strike duo Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez able to take a rare break from the score-sheet.
Now, the Nerazzurri face a daunting spell that could determine whether they claim a first trophy since lifting the Coppa Italia in 2011.
Asides the quest for silverware, bragging rights is also at stake and we’ll be giving you the most likely tips to happen from this game.
Both Teams to Score
Given what is at stake for this fixture, it’s easy to see why both teams are expected to get themselves on the score-sheet. Inter have their full squad back and they’ll be motivated to get an early goal so as to balance out the deficit. Expect an attacking game from both ends and this should make for an interesting game overall. Bet9ja have 1.59 odds, Bet365 have 1.66 and 1xbet have 1.68.
Over 2.5 goals
For the same reason above, we expect to see at least three goals at the Allianz Stadium. As said above, it’s a game where both teams could easily score and it might be case of who scores more to see a winner. Either full dominance from one team or a close encounter overall, we’re expecting the over 2.5 tip to play out once again like last time. Bet9ja have 1.75 odds, Bet365 have 1.80 and 1xbet have 1.88.
Anytime goal-scorer (Juventus)
Cristiano Ronaldo
Just last week, he scored a brace against Inter at San Siro. He might have turned 36 on Friday but continues to fire on. He got the perfect birthday present by scoring a goal against Roma on Saturday to take him to 23 goals for the season. He is on top form at the moment and he’ll be fired up to get more against his rivals today. Bet365 have 1.95 odds while Bet9ja have 2.30.
Alvaro Morata
The Spanish forward might have not scored in his last three games but he continues to remain a threat upfront. His aerial prowess might also come in handy against Inter tonight. Morata has also impressed for Juve this term with 13 goals to his name. Asides Ronaldo, he’s the next name to get a goal for sure. There could be value here with Bet365 offering 2.55 odds and Bet9ja putting theirs at 3.00.
Anytime goal-scorer (Inter)
Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian missed the first leg of this fixture and is back available for this contest. Seeing his side with a deficit, he’ll be eager to get a goal or two and you can expect him to be at his best today. There is every likelihood he could get on the score-sheet as well. Bet365 have 2.20 odds for him to score while Bet9ja have it better at 2.55.
Lautaro Martinez
Martinez bagged a goal in the first leg of this fixture but a brace from Ronaldo turned the tie around. This time around, the Argentine forward has his partner upfront back in Romelu Lukaku. Both players have good chemistry and play better together on the pitch. If Lukaku doesn’t score for Inter, then surely Martinez will. Value comes with Martinez as Bet365 have 2.62 odds for him to score whileBet9ja have theirs at 3.00.
