It was an interesting week with the Champions League and Europa League games but it’s another weekend and that means back to league action. Lots of games are on the cards across Europe’s top five leagues and we’ll be bringing you the likely tips to come through as always.
Real Madrid vs Barcelona Betting Tips and Prediction
Straight Wins
Manchester City’s 2-1 midweek victory over Borussia Dortmund gave them a sixth consecutive win, and they’ve now lost just one of their last 35 competitive matches (W31, D3). Needing four more victories to guarantee a seventh top-flight title, we expect them to see off Leeds as they aim to reclaim the Premier League title from Liverpool. It is the first game of the day and we’re expecting a win for the Citizens. Bet9ja and Bet365 have 1.28 odds while 1xbet have 1.31.
PSG aim to return to winning ways in Ligue 1 against Strasbourg and we’re backing them to do just that today. Les Parisiens are now three points away from the top spot, after a potentially pivotal loss to Lille last Saturday. They have now suffered eight league defeats, more than they’ve registered in each of their previous nine L1 seasons. However, they are favourites today and will be brewing with confidence after their midweek victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Bet365 have 1.75 odds, Bet9ja have 1.76 and 1xbet have 1.81.
Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat at Manchester City in midweek wasn’t a surprise, but just one win from their previous six matches is poor form (W1, D2, L3), and Champions League football next season is beginning to look unlikely for the fifth-placed visitors. Their opponents in Stuggart are only four points below Dortmund but we expect Terzic’s men to claim a win after a well-fought battle against an in-form Manchester City side. Bet365 have 1.83 odds, Bet9ja have 1.84 and 1xbet have 1.89.
AC Milan have faltered of late but they are widely expected to see off their opponents today in Parma. The home side are all but destined for relegation, having recorded only three wins all season and also with the second worst defence in the Serie A. Milan might have recorded only three wins in their last 12 competitive matches but we expect them to make it four from 13 today. Bet365 have 1.66 odds, Bet9ja have 1.70 and 1xbet have 1.76.
Leipzig had the chance to go within one point of top-placed Bayern in the last round, but a 1-0 defeat means they now sit seven points behind the league leaders. Hopes of a title challenge might be fading away but they still have chance to give Bayern a close run. They take on Werder Bremen who are on a three-game losing streak in the Bundesliga and we can see Leipzig capitalizing on that. Bet9ja and Bet365 have 1.44 odds while 1xbet have 1.49.
Over 2.5 Goals
Liverpool and Aston Villa meet again in what should be an entertaining lash for obvious reasons. The reverse fixture stunned everyone, with Villa thrashing the reigning champions by a 7-2 score-line. Liverpool might have lost to Real Madrid but they’ll be hoping to carry off where they left off in the Premier League after their 3-0 thumping of Arsenal last time out. Coincidentally, Villa also scored three goals in their last league victory against Fulham and we expect goals once again today. Bet9ja and Bet365 have 1.57 odds while 1xbet have 1.66.
In the absence of Lewan-goal-ski, there might be good enough value now more than ever for Bayern to score over 2.5 goals. Of course, the German giants still have enough firepower to score a good number of goals. Bayern are expected to win but Union Berlin could easily get a goal as well. With all of that in mind, we still expect this game to bring at least three goals after 90 minutes. Bet9ja have 1.48 odds, 1xbet have 1.51 and Bet365 have 1.53.
PSG will be looking to build on their impressive victory against Bayern Munich and we expect them to score in good amounts today. We already tipped them to beat Strasbourg above and we expect it to happen by a good margin as well. Three out of their last five league fixtures has seen over 2.5 goals and we expect more of the same today. Bet9ja and Bet365 have 1.72 odds while 1xbet have 1.79.
Chelsea might have kept a clean sheet in four out of their last five league games but it all ended at the hands of West Brom in a 5-2 thrashing. The reverse fixture saw Chelsea trash Palace 4-0 but they will be meeting an Eagles side in decent form at the moment. The Blues might dominate proceedings but Palace should make life difficult for them. However it may be, we expect this tip to come through. Bet9ja have 2.05 odds, Bet365 have 2.10 and 1xbet have 2.13.
Leipzig are the division’s second best away side (W7, D4, L2), and forms part of an impressive nine-game away streak in the league in which they have scored first. We already tipped them to edge Werder Bremen and we can expect to see at least three goals in that game as well. Bet9ja have 1.76 odds, Bet365 have 1.80 and 1xbet have 1.87.
Anytime Goal-scorers
Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe is a man on form and seems to be scoring in just about every game at the moment. He comes into this game fresh from a match-wining brace against Bayern in midweek. He has already bagged 20 Ligue 1 goals and is on course for another top-scorer award. In the absence of Neymar due to suspension, he is expected to come big again and produce the goods for PSG. Bet365 have 1.83 odds while Bet9ja have 1.90.
Mohamed Salah
After scoring in midweek, Mohamed Salah has now grabbed a second-half strike in three of Liverpool’s last four games. The Egyptian scored in the reverse fixture and he’ll be eager to complete the double against Villa. With 18 league goals, he is only one behind Harry Kane in the golden boot race and that could be more motivation for him to score. Bet365 have 1.61 odds while Bet9ja have 1.70.
Erling Haaland
It is strange to write that the Norwegian sensation is without a goal for Dortmund in his last two games. However, he has scored a brace in Dortmund’s last three Bundesliga away games. He has bagged 21 Bundesliga goals this term and he’ll be fired up to overtake Andre Silva at least, with the Frankfurt star one ahead of him on 22 goals. Bet365 have 1.44 odds while Bet9ja have 1.55.
Thomas Muller
Asides Lewandowski, he has been the next best prolific goal-scorer for Bayern this term. His 14 goals across all competitions have been crucial to their quest, not to talk of his whopping 18 assists. He is fresh from scoring against PSG in midweek and he’ll be gingered to keep up that run. Bet365 have 2.00 odds for him to score while Bet9ja have 2.25.
Andre Silva
With 22 Bundesliga goals to his name, only Robert Lewandowski (35) has scored more than the Portuguese this term. His goals are the reason Frankfurt are on course for their highest top-flight finish since the early 1990s. The in-form star has bagged three goals in his last two games for Frankfurt and we’re backing him to do the same once again today. Bet365 have 1.72 odds while Bet9ja have 2.20.
Football Lover. All-round junkie of the beautiful game. Could be found watching football most of the time. If not he’s writing about them or making some punditry you don’t agree with. A certain bias for Arsenal and Santos FC.
