Verdict
Manchester United excelled at home last season, winning 48 points there compared to just 27 away at Old Trafford. Given that they only made squad improvements over the Summer, we anticipate The Red Devils to continue with their dominant performances at home and open the season with a significant home victory. At home, they had the second-best record in the Premier League with 15 victories from 19 games.
Wolverhampton, like Manchester United, performed significantly better at home the previous season, earning 73% of their points there. With just 11 points in 19 games, they were among the league’s poorest teams when playing away from home.
Manchester United completely outplayed Wolverhampton in the previous head-to-head match, winning 2:0 at Old Trafford. To be fair, though, MU had plenty of room for scoring more goals whereas Wolves went the entire game without attempting a shot on target. Furthermore, Wolverhampton and Manchester United have split their previous six head-to-head matches.
