18/06/2021 Euro 2020 Daily Predictions

The Euros continues to move at a fast pace and things are getting much clearer. The fate of some teams will go down to the wire while some sides have made their mark already. Italy became the first side to advance to the round of 16 and they are suddenly looking like one of the top favorites to win as well.

We will follow games properly as they come in thick and fast, bringing you the best betting tips and predictions of the day as we’ve been doing.

Croatia vs Czech Republic Betting Predictions

Croatia to win

Croatia have plenty of motivation for the 3pts and their history against the Czech Republic will give them great confidence heading into Friday’s clash. Croatia have won two and drawn one of their three previous encounters with the Czech Republic and on paper, the Croatians have the better of the two squads and are more experienced at this level of football. Bet365 have 2.15 odds, Bet9ja have 2.18 and 1xbet have 2.23.

Both Teams to Score – Yes

Both teams have scored in each of the three previous meetings between these two nations, and the Czech Republic have never beaten Croatia before. Both teams have also scored in three of the Czech Republic’s last six international matches and while they kept a clean sheet against Scotland, that was largely down to a great performance from goalkeeper Vaclík. Bet365 have 1.90 odds while Bet9ja and 1xbet have 2.00.

Sweden vs Slovakia Betting Predictions

Sweden to win

Sweden have never lost against Slovakia before, with the pair meeting on six previous occasions. During that period, Sweden have claimed three wins and three draws against Slovakia and have only conceded two goals. Sweden have won five of their last six international matches, while Slovakia have only won two of their last six games. It is easier to see Sweden have more quality going to this game, and Slovakia, will be expected to sit back, after their opening win, hoping to hit on the counter or get just a point. They are not so good on the road, and that may play out here. Sweden will push harder, and having negotiated a tougher game, they will be favorites for a win here. Bet365 have 1.83 odds, Bet9ja have 1.87 and 1xbet have 1.89.

Under 2.5 Goals

Under 2.5 goals have been produced in four of the last five encounters between these two countries and we’re expecting another close and competitive 90 minutes between the pair this Friday. Four of Sweden’s last six matches have produced under 2.5 goals, including the 0-0 draw with Spain, while three of Slovakia’s last six outings have also seen fewer than three goals scored. Bet365 and Bet9ja have 2.30 odds while 1xbet have 2.42.

England vs Scotland Betting Predictions

England to win

The oldest international football rivalry stretches back 149 years. That first game in Partick was a draw and so was their last meeting at Hampden in a dramatic 2-2 draw in a World Cup qualifier. However, England are favorites to win this time around. England have won five of their last seven encounters against Scotland, claiming a 3-0 win when the pair last locked horns at Wembley in 2016. England have kept clean sheets in three of their last five wins against Scotland and we’re backing Gareth Southgate’s defensively strong side to shut out Steve Clarke’s men on Friday. Bet365 have 1.30 odds, 1xbet have 1.31 and Bet9ja have 1.35.

Over 2.5 goals

Given the stakes of this match, we expect a more attacking affair from both sides. Scotland know they can’t afford to lose again and they should be motivated to go upfront and that could possibly see them get a goal at least. England are already tipped to win but Scotland have enough quality to make things difficult and also get a goal as well. Bet9ja have 1.85 odds, Bet365 have 1.93 and 1xbet have 1.97.

Anytime Goalscorer

Luka Modric

Few Croatian players caught the eye at Wembley but evergreen Luka Modric remains a class act. He plays further forward for his national team than he does for Real Madrid and is a good shout to be anytime scorer. With Croatia knowing they need nothing but three points to keep their hopes alive, they are expected to put in a strong performance on home turf and Modric remains a big part of that. Bet365 have 4.00 odds while Bet9ja have 6.50.

Patrik Schick

Patrik Schick was one of the stars of the opening round of Euro 2020 games, silencing the buoyant Hampden Park crowd with two cracking goals. The second will go down as one of the all-time greats – he saw keeper David Marshall off his line and hit a beautiful curling effort first time from just shy of 50 metres out, the longest distance for a goal in Euros history, according to Uefa. Schick’s goal return for Jaroslav Silhavy’s side now stands at a very respectable 13 in 27 games, while the 25-year-old scored nine times for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga last season. His form appears to be peaking at the right moment and it would be no surprise to see the goal trail continue. Bet365 have 3.20 odds while Bet9ja have 3.50.

Alexander Isak

Although they managed just 15% possession against Spain, Sweden did pose a threat on the counter, creating two high-quality scoring chances (0.45 and 0.62 xG). Isak was involved in almost everything Sweden did well in attack before his shock substitution. Isak’s standout performance is of particular interest now that Sweden enter much calmer waters. The Real Sociedad striker has had an incredible season at club level, scoring 17 goals from 17.8 xG in 34 La Liga games, enough to earn him the Young Player of the Season award in Spain. He is definitely a top name to score today. Bet365 have 2.87 odds while Bet9ja have 3.00.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane has been strongly tipped to be tournament top scorer and he will be frustrated to not have opened his account against the Croatians. He scored in the last game against Scotland in injury time and he’ll be eager to make his mark once again. Kane had a disappointing outing in England’s opening match, managing just a single shot all game, but should be able to bounce back against Scotland. The Three Lions captain has an impressive 34 strikes in just 55 appearances for his country, with 29 of those coming in competitive matches, and he will no doubt be determined to challenge for the Golden Boot after winning it at the 2018 World Cup. Bet365 have 1.72 odds while Bet9ja have 2.00.

Che Adams

Che Adams will surely get the nod to start either instead of or alongside Lyndon Dykes and the Southampton striker might prove to be Scotland’s best shot at a goal. In a game where England are expected to dominate proceedings, efficiency in front of goal for Scotland will be the order of the day. Bet365 have 4.75 odds for him to score while Bet9ja have 6.50.
