When Manchester United plays Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday, they will try to maintain their Champions League spot.
The Red Devils demonstrated their value by defeating Wolverhampton by a score of 2-0, but on Matchday 37, high-flying Liverpool will be pressing for a victory.
Bayern Munich, who are now atop the Bundesliga, put Schalke to the sword last week with a convincing 6-0 victory at the Allianz in Munich. The final significant obstacle stands in the form of third-placed RB Leipzig, who will go to Bavaria this weekend and put a stop to their record-setting 11th Bundesliga title dreams.
Bournemouth vs Manchester United
Bournemouth experienced many highs and lows this season, but they ultimately avoided being demoted to the Championship. Given that they were one of the poorest teams in the competition, Bournemouth only scored only one goal. The previous two games that Bournemouth played were losses.
They went down to Crystal Palace on the road and fell 2-0. It is understandable that Bournemouth lost again given that the home team had 17 shots on goal compared to only five for the visitors.
Many believed it would be a formality that Bournemouth would be relegated this season and that feeling was aired just a few weeks ago, but the Cherries have secured their top-flight status which means there should be a party at their final home league game of the season against Manchester United.
Manchester United started the season well, but their chances of finishing in the top four are now at risk following a recent downturn. The Red Devils needs a couple more points to clinch a position in the Champions League for the upcoming season because they are currently only one point ahead of Liverpool (with one fewer game played). Manchester United’s past three games resulted in two losses. They defeated Wolves 2-0 at home in the previous encounter.
Verdict
United cannot afford to falter if they want to dine at Europe’s top table next season because Liverpool, who have won seven straight games, are closing in on them in the fight for fourth place. The urgency of winning is increased by Jurgen Klopp’s team’s 18-goal advantage over the opposition, which was boosted by their recent 7-0 triumph against United at Anfield.
There will be worries that United have lost all four of their recent away games—the most recent two were 1-0 losses to Brighton and West Ham—but there appears to be a good chance they can turn that around against the Cherries, who failed to register a shot on goal in their 2-0 loss at Crystal Palace last week.
Normally, Bournemouth has trouble attacking. In their last five games, they have scored six goals. In the previous four games, Manchester United has scored three times. Additionally, all four of those games had under 3.5 goals scored. This season, Bournemouth and Manchester United only faced off once. Manchester United triumphed 3-0 in that contest.

Bayern vs RB Leipzig
The reigning champions from Munich are desperate to keep themselves on the top of the standings, so a win in this event is a must, otherwise, Borussia Dortmund might take over the leadership. However, Thomas Tuchel’s team has been encouraged by their recent results, winning three straight games, including last week’s thrashing of Schalke.
Their last home game of the year gives them the opportunity to keep their destiny in their own hands because a win in the next two weeks would essentially seal them as champions. The former Chelsea manager appears to have discovered a constant winning recipe.
A solid four-game winning streak for RB Leipzig in all competitions, which includes a 1- 5 away victory at Freiburg. This has allowed them to reclaim some of the post-World Cup forms from January that had propelled them to a near-title push.
However, after being eliminated by Manchester City from the Champions League, they lost three straight games, including devastating losses of 1-0 to Mainz and 0-3 to the lowly VFL Bochum.
A thrilling finale to the German season sees Bayern coming into their penultimate fixture knowing only three points will do with an on-form BVB facing Augsburg earlier in the day.
Verdict
The team led by Marco Rose is in terrific form right now, having won seven of their past eight games across all competitions. RB is now third in the standings, but they still need at least a point to secure their spot at the top table of Europe for the upcoming season. They are currently four points ahead of Freiburg and only a point ahead of fourth-placed Union.
Although they are unable to win the championship. RB is only eight points behind Bayern and has a track record of winning at this stadium. In reality, RB has only lost one of their past three games against Bayern at the Allianz; that defeat came by a slim margin of 3:2 last season after they had earned a respectable 3:3 draw the season before.
With five of their last six meetings between these teams ending in BTTS, goals are often to be expected. With RB in such excellent form over the past six weeks, we anticipate that result to happen once more.
Bayern is undoubtedly a strong favorite to win the game because the championship is on the line. Given that they have lost two of their past three home games against RB. It would be foolish to place too much faith in the Bavarians.
Bayern does, of course, have a fantastic home record, as the hosts are currently undefeated in 23 league games at the Allianz. The difference between them and RB is that the former has a history of leaving Munich with winning records, while the latter has lost points in three of their previous nine home games.
