21/11/2020 – Daily Football Predictions

Away from the international break that seemed like an eternity, it’s back to club action we all love. We saw action form the Nations League, African Cup of Nations Qualifiers and friendlies in general. Some of the pick of those games include Germany suffering a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Spain and Nigeria blowing a 4-0 lead against Sierra Leone to end the game 4-4.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, many argued the international break shouldn’t have happened and they do have a point. A number of players have picked up coronavirus while on international duty and we’ll definitely put that in mind as we do the usual and give you the best tips for today.

Tottenham vs Manchester City Prediction

Old rivals Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola renew hostilities on Saturday when Tottenham Hotspur welcome Manchester City to North London in the Premier League.

For the first time since January 2017, Spurs go into a showdown with Man City sitting above their opponents in the table, and victory would lift them to the very top until at least Sunday night.

Matches with Mourinho and Guardiola in opposing dugouts almost demand that as much attention be focused on the managers as the clubs, and both will be looking to crown celebratory weeks here – Mourinho having passed his one-year anniversary as Spurs boss and Guardiola after finally putting pen to paper on a new two-year contract at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday.

Arguably the two highest-profile managers in football have faced off in Clasicos and Manchester derbies before, with Guardiola enjoying the better of their past meetings.

The dynamics may be a little different heading into Saturday’s showdown, though, with Tottenham flying high and belief beginning to grow that they could launch a genuine title challenge this season – just one year after finishing 40 points off the pace.

There is still a long way to go, of course, but the signs were promising before the international break, with Spurs embarking on the longest current unbeaten run in the league and picking up 17 points from the 21 on offer in that time.

Over 2.5 goals

With both teams eager to win, we could see a good number of goals here. Both teams boast enough quality that should lead to goals and we expect to see that on show today. We’re expecting at least three goals today and we see no reason why that shouldn’t happen. Bet9ja and Betway have 1.57 odds while 1xbet have it better at 1.64 odds.

Both teams to score

Tottenham might look the more solid side in defence at the moment but the reality is that they are yet to face a ‘tough’ side in quite a while now. Regardless of who might claim a win today, it’s very likely we see both teams get a goal of their own. Much has been made of the Spurs attack and City will be looking to start on a strong note after the international break so we can imagine that both teams will score. Bet9ja have 1.51 odds, Betway have 1.56 and 1xbet have 1.60.

Straight Wins

Chelsea travel to Newcastle in the early kick-off from today’s Premier League game. The Blues are in top form at the moment. They are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions and a number of their players also impressed on international duty. We expect them to continue that winning run with another victory today. Betway have 1.49 odds, Bet9ja have 1.50 and 1xbet have 1.53.

Over to the Bundesliga, we would normally go for a Bayern win but the odds are close to little or nothing so we’ll give you the next best likely wins. First up, Borussia Dortmund will take on Hertha Berlin in an away game and will be all out for victory after a 3-2 loss to Bayern just before the break. Hertha only  have one win in their last five games and we don’t expect them to cause Dortmund much trouble. Bet9ja and Betway have 1.57 odds while 1xbet have 1.60 odds.

Still in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen also take on struggling Arminia Bielefeld and we expect a win for Peter Bosz’s men. Both sides have contrasting fortunes in the sense that Leverkusen are yet to lose a league game so far and Bielefeld are yet to win a single one. Leverkusen are missing some players but we still expect them to record a win today. Betway have 1.49 odds, Bet9ja 1.50 and 1xbet are offering 1.52 odds.

Over to the Serie A, Atalanta will be the away side when they take on Spezia and we’re tipping them for the win. Atalanta have picked up the most away points of any Serie A side in 2020. That form is set to be extended, with Spezia losing two of their three home games so far, conceding 10 goals in that time. Atalanta are also unbeaten in 10 games against newly promoted sides and we expect that form to continue today. Bet9ja have 1.38 odds, Betway have 1.40 and 1xbet have 1.44 odds.

Finally in the Serie A, reigning champions Juventus welcome Cagliari on home turf and they’ll be looking to record a win. Juve might be unbeaten this term but only three points separate them from a Cagliari side that has lost twice. 13 points from seven games is Juve’s worst start to a season since 2015 and they’ll be looking to put together a decent winning run starting with this clash. Bet9ja have 1.25 odds while Betway and 1xbet have 1.26.

Over 2.5

Manchester United take on West Brom at Old Trafford in the late fixture of the day in the Premier League. West Brom are yet to win a single game this term but for some reason we still can’t tip the Red Devils to win. They have blown hot and cold this season and their home is probably one of the worst in the league at the moment. However, we expect the game to produce a good number of goals. Bet9ja have 1.66 odds, Betway have 1.67 and 1xbet have 1.74.

Over to the Serie A, we already tipped Atalanta to record a win and we expect the over 2.5 market to come through as well in similar fashion.  Bet9ja have 1.38 odds while 1xbet and Betway have 1.41.

Off to the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig travel to take on Eintracht Frankfurt and the potential of over 2.5 goals is a strong possibility as both sides have shown they have no problems finding the back of the net. We’re expecting that to come through as well. Bet9ja have 1.48 odds, Betway have 1.50 and 1xbet have 1.54.

Off to Spain where we conclude things with the big boys in La Liga. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have questionable fixtures today and that’s why we avoided the win market for them and we’ll let you know why.

Real Madrid take on high-flying Villareal in an away game and we can’t say who wins that one. Unai Emery’s Villareal are only two points off first place Real Sociedad and currently lie in second place (ahead of Los Blancos too). Real Madrid are also missing key names in Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and Casemiro. It’s hard to predict a winner but we can assure that this game will bring a good number of goals. Bet9ja have 1.53 odds, Betway have 1.54 and 1xbet have 1.64 odds.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid welcome Barcelona in another crunch clash of the day. The Catalan giants will be in full confidence after their 5-2 win over Betis before the international break but they’ll be facing a side that have not lost all season as well. A winner is also not easy to predict but both sides will want to show who the more superior one is and that should translate to goals at the stadium. Bet9ja have 1.80 odds, Betway 1.82 and 1xbet 1.90.

Anytime Goal Scorer

Harry Kane

Kane has been one of the most in-form forwards in the Premier League this term and given the opposition, he is a very strong shout to get a goal or two today. Bet9ja have 1.75 odds while Betway have 1.88 odds.

Morata

The Spanish forward has already bagged in goals since his return to the club and he’s a good candidate to score once again today. Betway have 2.56 odds while Bet9ja have 2.50 odds.

Werner

With Chelsea taking on struggling Newcastle, Timo Werner will fancy his chances on getting on the score sheet. For club and country, he is on decent form at the moment and he could well carry that form into today. Betway have 1.80 odds while Bet9ja have 1.90.

Messi

For the game against Atletico, Barcelona are not even close to being favorites but Messi is still a favorite to get a goal. Either from a free kick, the penalty spot or his moment of brilliance, he is a strong contender to get in the goals today. Bet9ja are offering a whopping 2.35 odds while Betway have it better at 2.45.
