Yesterday was quite the day for any bettor and football fan at large. It’s only January of 2021 but we saw what could be one of the most shocking results this year as Burnley defeated Liverpool at Anfield, bringing their 68-game unbeaten home record to an end. We knew that record would end someday but no one could have predicted it would come at the hands of Sean Dyche’s Burnley.
With that in mind, only Atletico Madrid won just as predicted from our three straight wins yesterday. Asides Liverpool, Barcelona failed to beat Cornella in regular time after missing two penalties in the course of the game.
For the over 2.5 goal market, two out of three played out correctly as Atletico and Lazio both recorded 2-1 victories in their respective games. Similar to the above, Barcelona failed to deliver once again in this category.
For the goal-scorer section, Suarez played out correctly as he scored a brace to move level with Messi at the top of the La Liga goal-scoring charts. Elsewhere, Griezmann and Salah drew blanks in their respective games.
At the moment, there is usually at least a game every day and we would do our best to make sure we cover a food amount of the top games across Europe. As we have been doing, we’ll be bringing you the tips from today’s action across Europe.
Straight Win
Ligue 1 leaders PSG take on 11th place Montpellier at the Parc des Princes stadium. Les Parisiens are on impressive form and are unbeaten in their last five games, winning three out of them. In opposite fashion, Montpellier are without a win in their last five games and have lost three of those games. We’re tipping PSG to dominate their struggling opponents and maintain their spot at the top of the Ligue 1 for this round at least. Bet365 have 1.14 odds, Bet9ja have 1.18 and 1xbet have 1.19.

Over 2.5 Goals
PSG are already primed to beat Montpellier as explained above and we can see it being a convincing win to go with. The reigning champions have scoffed at least two goals in three out of their last five games and we’re expecting them to put in a dominant performance tonight. They also have a good record against Montpellier and it makes a game where could easily see at least three goals after 90 minutes. Bet9ja have 1.30 odds, 1xbet have 1.32 and Bet365 have 1.33.
Over to the Bundesliga, we can expect some fireworks when Bayer Leverkusen welcomes Borussia Dortmund for a crunch clash at the Borussia-Park. Only one point separates both sides at the moment and they’ll both be aiming to go further up in the Bundesliga standings. Leverkusen are unbeaten in their last four games and boast the better form at the moment. However, Borussia Dortmund remains a side with quality and can easily win this game if they come out in full gear especially after their loss to last time out. It’s difficult to predict a winner for this one but you can expect that both sides would take it to each other and it should be a good goal-affair. Bet9ja gave 1.43 odds while Bet365 and 1xbet are offering 1.50.
Finally, we move to the Eredivisie where Williem II welcomes Zwolle to the Konig Willem II Stadion. Both sides are on poor form at the moment but their games have seen high-scoring results at both ends and we’re tipping that to happen once again tonight. Both sides will be aiming to move away from relegation and our hunch says there could be at least three goals for this one. Bet9ja have 1.70 odds, Bet365 have 1.72 and 1xbet have 1.79.
Anytime Goal-scorer
Neymar
Injuries have plagued the Brazilian this season and he has been limited to three Ligue 1 goals so far. However, he has impressed since his return from injury, including scoring a goal and we’re backing him to do so again tonight against a struggling Montpellier side. Bet365 have 1.57 odds while Bet9ja have it better at 1.75.
Haaland
Only the unstoppable and untouchable Robert Lewandowski has scored more goals than Haaland in the Bundesliga so far this season. With 12 goals, the Norwegian is tied in second place but his tally is impressive considering he has been injured a couple of times. Should Dortmund aim for a win against a formidable foe, they will be counting on their goal machine to turn up and perhaps secure the win for them like he has done on a number of occasions. Bet365 have 1.50 while Bet9ja have theirs at 1.85.
