Manchester United rose despite being eliminated from the Europa League, and following a penalty shootout, they were more successful than Brighton in reaching the FA Cup final. Brighton may have been a slightly better side during the regular half of the game, but in the penalty series, the United players were flawless, earning a rematch with the local rival.
Verdict
Four of the last seven league encounters between these two clubs have resulted in both teams scoring and exceeding 2.5 goals, and we expect more of the same on Thursday night. Tottenham has scored in each of its last six games, and five of those games have gone over 2.5 goals.
Manchester United haven’t had as many high-scoring games recently, but two of their previous four matches in all competitions have seen at least three goals scored, and Tottenham did concede six goals against Newcastle last time out.
Tottenham appears to be looking forward to the end of this nightmare season. The loss to Newcastle will be remembered for many years to come. More terrible than defeat is the fact that they allowed 5 goals in 20 minutes with no response.
Unlike them, the United players have demonstrated character, therefore they will have an opportunity to compete for the FA Cup’s first prize in 7 years. United has won the last four games against Spurs with a terrific goal difference of 11:3, and it appears that they will be the favorite against the stumbling host in the forthcoming match.

Athletic Bilbao vs Sevilla
Athletic Bilbao failed to qualify for Europe in the previous five seasons but could do it this year. They are seventh in La Liga with eight rounds remaining, but they are only two points behind fifth-placed Real Betis and one point behind sixth-placed Villarreal.
If Real Madrid wins the Cup, Athletic Bilbao can qualify for the Europa Conference League from seventh position, although they will almost certainly aim for fifth place to secure the Europa League.
Sevilla has only failed to qualify for Europe once in the last 20 seasons, and they have finished fourth in the previous three. However, they were doomed from the outset of this season. Throughout the season, they struggled and were continually in and out of the danger zone.
Fortunately for them, they have improved significantly in the last two months and have easily moved to the center of the table. With eight rounds remaining in La Liga, they are now eight points clear of the drop zone.
They have recently been outstanding in the Europa League, reaching the semifinals against Juventus. In earlier rounds, they defeated PSV, Fenerbahçe, and Manchester United.
Verdict
Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic Club is coming off a 2-1 triumph away at struggling Almeria last weekend. The Basque club has now won back-to-back games in their pursuit of a top-seven finish and possibly European qualification. They now face a Sevilla squad that has improved significantly since the arrival of Jose Luis Mendilibar during the March international break. The Andalusians overcame Villarreal by two goals to one, and a tie appears to be the most likely conclusion in this one.
After a shocking first half to the campaign, another change of manager has finally got Sevilla looking up the table, and they are unbeaten since José Luis Mendilibar took charge six games ago.
‘Los Nervionenses’ have scored at least two goals in each of those outings, including a 5-2 aggregate win over Manchester United in the Europa League.
Defensively, though, there are still some issues to iron out, with Sevilla seeing both teams score in three of their last five matches, as well as six of their previous nine La Liga games.
