26/12/2020 – Daily Football Predictions

Firstly, we at Top Bets are taking this opportunity to wish all our devoted readers a merry Christmas season and compliments of the festive period.

While other leagues across Europe have taken a break for the festive period, the English Premier League never rests and it’s no surprise they even take Boxing Day as a day for an interesting round of fixtures. Perhaps stuff like this makes us see why the English Premier League is fondly regarded as the ‘best in the world’.

All thanks to the Premier League, we still have action in stuck for you today and our tips will be coming from all the games in the top flight today.

In the midst of all the celebrations, we’ll be giving you all the best picks for the day.

Straight Wins

Manchester United takes on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the first game of the day. Leicester City might have beaten Spurs last weekend but they are facing the joint most in-form side in the Premier League in Manchester United. We are tipping the Red Devils to win because of their away form and the fact that they are flying with full confidence at the moment. Bet365 have 2.25 odds, Bet9ja have 2.32 odds and 1xbet have 2.33.

Elsewhere, Manchester City welcome Newcastle to the Etihad stadium. Only five points separate both sides but the Magpies are without a win in their last two games. City comes off the back of a 4-1 thumping of Arsenal and we expect them to win this one as well. Bet365 have 1.14 odds, Bet9ja have 1.15 odds and 1xbet have 1.20.

Lastly, high-flying Everton take on bottom of the table Sheffield United. The Toffees have won their last three league games including ones against Chelsea and Arsenal. We expect nothing than Carlo Ancelotti’s men brushing aside a team without a win all season. Bet365 have 2.05 odds, 1xbet have 2.13 and Bet9ja have 2.14.

Over 2.5 Goals

Aston Villa welcome Crystal Palace to Villa Park and we can see a high scoring affair with both sides as well. Crystal Palace will be looking to push away their humiliating 7-0 loss to Liverpool behind them while Villa will be aiming to carry on the momentum after their 3-0 win against West Brom. We expect it could all translate to goals. Bet365 have 1.72 odds, Bet9ja have 1.74 and `1xbet have 1.80.

We already tipped United to win Leicester City but it might not be an easy clash in all honesty. Both teams have second place to play for and we’re backing on that intensity to translate to goals from either side. Bet9ja have 1.66 odds, Bet365 have 1.72 odds and 1xbethave 1.75 odds.

Finally, we also tipped Manchester City to beat Newcastle and we can see expect at least three goals in that match. In all fairness, City have struggled to score goals in the league of late but games like this are well setup for them to dominate in all aspects. Bet9ja have 1.36 odds, Betway have 1.38 and 1xbet have 1.42.

Anytime Goal-scorer

Aguero

With Gabriel Jesus ruled out with covid-19 on Christmas day, Sergio Aguero is expected to lead the line and he needs no explanation why he’s a big shout to score in any City lineup at all. Bet365areoffering 1.50 odds while Bet9ja have 1.75 odds.

Rashford

A ‘big’ game is on the cards here and Rashford will be one of the creative sparks for United today in search of goals. The Englishman has impressed this season and has a thing for scoring away goals too. Himself and Bruno Fernandes are obviously the most likely to score in a Red Devils lineup. Interesting odds here as Bet365 are offering a decent 2.60 while Bet9ja have it better at 3.00.

Calvert-Lewin

The Everton man has seen a good campaign so far with 11 goals to his name. With Everton playing against the worst defence in the league, the Englishman would have his sights set on a goal or even more at Bramall lane. Bet9ja have 2.25 odds while Bet365 have 2.50 odds.
