Betting Tips
This Saturday, the Stadio Olimpico will host an important Serie A match between AS Roma and AC Milan, with both teams vying for a spot in the top four.
This weekend’s Serie A action features a key struggle for the top four spots. This fixture could prove crucial in the campaign for Champions League qualifying.
In terms of goals scored, visitors Milan now have a little advantage over Jose Mourinho’s hosts. We have Premier League predictions for this weekend’s match between Brentford and Nottingham Forest. Both of these teams had fantastic midweek victories and will be fired up for today’s game.
AS Roma vs AC Milan
The race for a spot in next season’s Champions League appears to be an exciting subplot to the final weeks of the 2022-23 Serie A season. Champions-elect Napoli and second-placed Lazio appear to have done enough to secure their positions, but the last two spots are still up for grabs.
Juventus’ 15-point deduction has been restored, putting Max Allegri’s squad back in contention with Roma and Milan. Despite winning three of their past four league games, Jose Mourinho’s men have dropped out of the top four as a result of Juventus’ return.
The guests at the Stadio Olimpico this weekend are Milan, who have won only two of their last four league games under Stefano Pioli. That form makes picking a favorite difficult, with a draw being a safe bet, as it was in the opposite game at the San Siro in January.
It’s worth noting that both adversaries in this match, Roma and Milan, perform well in European competitions, finishing in the top four in both the Europa League and the Champions League. Roma defeated Feyenoord, the finest Dutch team at the time, while Milan controlled the field against Napoli, the strongest Italian club.
We expect at least the same intensity and vitality as in the first half of the season, when the encounter between these two teams was quite exciting and ended without a winner 2-2.
Verdict
AC Milan has gone six games without losing in all competitions heading into Saturday’s big test against Roma. AC Milan defeated Lecce 2-0 at home this weekend, but it’s the Rossoneri’s performances in big games that have drawn the attention of late.
Their victory over Napoli in both Serie A and the Champions League were spectacular, and Milan’s ability to rise to the occasion may pave the way for more success against Roma on Saturday. Milan have won their last two visits to the Stadio Olimpico against Roma, and the visitors are a good bet in the double chance market this weekend.
Meetings between Roma and AC Milan have been competitive in recent seasons, and with both clubs vying for a top-four finish this season, Saturday’s battle could have a genuine edge to it.
Surprisingly, eight of the last nine encounters between these Italian behemoths have resulted in goals at both ends, and all the components are in place for another high-scoring affair on Saturday. With that in mind, our prediction suggests betting on BTTS once more.
Tip: AC Milan Win or Draw / BTTS (YES)

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest
Brentford are having a good season with no disruption. They had a poor run, with Thomas Frank’s team going six games without a win until Wednesday, when Brentford beat Chelsea 2-0 on the road. Despite having only 27% ball possession and seven shots on goal, the visitors took all three points.
Nottingham Forest was out of the Premier League for 18 seasons before returning, but they could be relegated shortly if they struggle in the last weeks of the season. Nottingham Forest is barely one point above the relegation zone.
They were on a four-game losing streak before winning 3-1 at home against Brighton the night before. The home team’s excellent finishing proved decisive in the game.
The Bees have had another fantastic top-flight season, but a recent hiccup has hurt their European ambitions, leaving them eighth in the table with five games remaining. Unfortunately for them, it’s a difficult run-in, and a European appearance is looking increasingly doubtful.
Verdict
We’re betting on Brentford to win this weekend because the hosts have been good at home this season while their visitors have struggled on the road. The Bees stopped their winless streak in midweek when they traveled to Chelsea, winning 2-0 and looking to be more like their old selves.
Forest have lost four of their past six league games, and despite beating Brighton at home on midweek, we predict Cooper’s men to lose again on the road. Brentford had a long period without a win but now, it is time for a revival. They beat Chelsea on the road mid-week and it was a massive win. We also know that Brentford are a home team – they mostly perform well at home. Nottingham is one of the worst visitors in the league and the hosts should be able to win it.
We expect Ivan Toney to score his 20th league goal of the season this weekend against a porous Nottingham Forest defense. Since returning from his second England cap, the England international has been in excellent form, scoring three goals in his past six league games, which is why we’ve backed him to score again on Saturday.
Tip: Brentford to Win / Ivan Toney to score
