Yesterday was another eventful day in the Champions League. There was no real shock in general and most of the results came as expected bar one. Many might have claimed Manchester United could topple Leipzig but no one could have predicted a 5-0 thrashing of the German side.
We tipped Juventus and Barcelona to both score and the game to bring over 2.5 goals. Barca ran out 2-0 winners and both of our tips would have come through but for Morata who saw three goals ruled offside.
All our straight win picks came through with Chelsea, PSG and Sevilla all recording victories. For the goal market, Manchester United and Chelsea delivered but PSG and Dortmund needed one more goal each and could only do with 2-0 victories.
Over to the goal scorer market, Timo Werner and Haaland scored just as we predicted. Morata could have easily bagged a hatrick but for his disallowed goals in strange fashion. Mbappe drew a blank for PSG and Moise Kean bagged a brace.
A tricky competition for betting in the Europa League is on ground today but as usual we’ll do all the hardwork and give you the best tips of the day.
Tottenham take on Belgian side Antwerp in an away clash. Jose Mourinho’s side has entertained so far this season and we expect them to claim a decent win at this venue. Bet9ja have 1.52 odds for this while BetKing have 1.55 odds.
Elsewhere, Roma welcome CSKA Sofia to the Stadio Olimpico. The Serie A side are in decent form at the moment and this is a game they are expected to win. They will be aiming to continue a perfect start to the competition. Bet9ja have 1.27 odds while Betking have it at 1.30.
Another Serie A side in AC Milan welcomes Sparta Prague to the San Siro. The Rossoneri dropped points for the first time this season in the 3-3 draw against Roma at the weekend. They’ll be fired up to get back to winning ways. Bet9ja are offering 1.33 odds while Betking have 1.37.
Leicester are in good spirits coming off the back of a win against Arsenal at the weekend. Athens might not come as an easy side to crack but we’re tipping the Foxes to win regardless. There is good value here with Bet9ja offering 1.73 and Betking offering 1.78 odds.
PSV have all motivation to go out and win this game against AC Omonia. They started their Europa campaign with a shock loss to Granada. They also lost out in surprising fashion at the weekend and that means a win will be top of their agenda tonight. Asides those losses above, PSV have won all their games this season. Another value tip here with Bet9ja offering 1.92 odds and Betking offering 1.97.
Arsenal are coming off a controversial 1-0 loss to Leicester City at the weekend. Given the Gunners have another tough clash against United on Sunday, they could be forced to rotate against Dundalk today. Regardless, we expect a good number of goals in this one. Bet9ja have 1.26 odds while BetKing have 1.30.
Bayer Leverkusen take on Slavia Prague in another potential good game on the cards. The only reason we won’t tip the Bundesliga side to win is because of the venue (Slavia Prague can be different at home). However, goals to come could be definitely worth a punt for this one. Bet9ja have 1.60 odds while Bayer Leverkusen has 1.65 odds.
We already tipped Tottenham to claim the win against Antwerp and we’re expecting a good win at that as well. Gareth Bale is yet to open his account after his return and could get another start today. There could be goals in this one. Bet9ja have 1.50 odds while Betking have 1.55 odds.
AC Milan takes on Sparta Prague at home and they will be rearing from the onset to score goals. We already tipped them to win also and this could be a strong one for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and company. Bet9ja have 1.43 odds and Betking has it better at 1.50.
Benfica will host Standard Liege in one of the many ties of the Europa League today. Benfica should win this one but if that won’t play out, the goal market is expected to come through. Bet9ja has 1.40 odds while Betking has 1.48 odds.
Anytime Goal scorer
As earlier mentioned, Arsenal take on Manchester United on Sunday and rotation could be the order of the day today. Normally, Eddie Nketiah would have led the line but Arteta might be tempted to throw in Lacazette in the mix just so the Gunners don’t record yet another loss at home. The Frenchman is a good shout to bag a goal or two. Bet9ja have 1.60 odds while BetKing have 1.65 odds.
Milan might have dropped points for the first time this season but Zlatan kept on doing his thing. The big Swede bagged a brace in the 3-3 draw against Roma and he’s on par to score another again today. Bet9ja and Betking have 1.60 odds for him to score.
Will we get tired of tipping him to score? No we won’t. He is one of the most in-form players in the Premier League right now, if not the most. No disrespect to the opponents but he will fancy his chances at more goals against Antwerp tonight. Bet9ja are offering an interesting 2.05 odds for this while Betking have it better at 2.40.
The Italian forward is a good shout to score in this game against Real Sociedad and a bargain is on the cards here. Bet9ja are offering 3.25 for him to score and Betking have a whopping 4.00 odds.
