A host of sides have already booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and there is more action in the coming week.
We’ve maintained a steady positive run for a good part of the season and we’ll be aiming to carry on with that as we bring you the likely betting tips and predictions to go with from all of the day’s action.
Straight Wins
Brighton have lost their last four Premier League games and this weekend they play host to title-challenging Liverpool. The Reds arrive having progressed through to the next round of the Champions League in midweek and will be confident they can get a result at the Amex Stadium. Liverpool have won four of their last seven games against Brighton and we’re backing Klopp’s men to beat the out-of-form Seagulls on Saturday. The hosts have lost five of their last six outings in all competitions while the visitors have won five of their last six matches in league and cup, keeping three clean sheets in their last five attempts. We are predicting another strong defensive display from the visitors. Bet9ja have 1.52 odds, Paripesa have 1.58 odds and 1xBet have 1.58 odds.
Hoffenheim have reigning champions Bayern Munich lined up for their next attempt. The Reds have also five consecutive unbeaten games ahead of this match. They will be wary of the Bavarians who earned a 7-1 victory in their Champions League decider against Salzburg. Both Hoffenheim and Bayern Munich have been through a long run of victories and draws recently but the Bavarians have the upper hand in the H2Hs. Four of the last five meetings between these teams witnessed Bayern on the winning side. Adding more, the visitors also have managed to get six wins in the last eight away outings. Die Kraichgauer might be confident over two consecutive home victories but the upcoming rivals don’t seem an easy challenge to host. So, we expect the FCB to maintain their lead in the first position. Bet9ja have 1.60 odds, Paripesa have 1.62 odds and 1xBet have 1.62 odds.
Juventus sit 4th in the Serie A table and will be looking to close the gap between themselves and the top three this weekend with a win away at Sampdoria. The hosts are still in the thick of the relegation battle and could get dragged in much further if they lose at home on Saturday. Juventus have won each of their last six encounters with Sampdoria, two of which were this season in the Serie A game in Turin and when the pair locked horns in the Coppa Italia. Sampdoria have lost four of their last six league games and head into this match as the underdogs, while Juventus have won three and drawn three of their last six outings across all competitions. Bet9ja have 1.67 odds, Paripesa have 1.70 odds and 1xBet have 1.70 odds.
AC Milan top the Serie A table by 2pts but their local rivals, Inter Milan, have a game in hand, so there is no room for any slip-ups this weekend. Mid-table Empoli provides the opposition this weekend but the visitors are in the midst of a poor run of form and look set to struggle at the San Siro. AC Milan have secured four wins from their last seven games against Empoli, including a 4-2 win at Empoli back in December. The hosts have won three of their last six matches in league and cup, keeping four clean sheets in the process, while Empoli has lost three of their last six games in Serie A. Bet9ja have 1.37 odds, Paripesa have 1.39 odds and 1xBet have 1.39 odds.
Over 2.5 Goals
Just 2pts separate these two clubs ahead of their Saturday evening clash in the Premier League. Manchester Utd will be desperate for a response following the disappointment of their heavy defeat against City last time out, while Tottenham could move above their hosts this weekend and will be buoyed by their 5-0 will over Everton on Monday night. Five of the last six head-to-heads between these two clubs have witnessed at least three goals scored, and we’re expecting more of the same between the pair this weekend. Two of Man Utd’s last three league games have produced over 2.5 goals, including their last game against Man City which ended in a 4-1 defeat. Three of Tottenham’s last five matches have also seen at least three goals scored with their last game against Everton ending in a 5-0 victory. Bet9ja have 1.68 odds, Paripesa have 1.80 odds and 1xBet have 1.80 odds.
They travel here as the league’s highest scorers and will be looking to flex their muscles once again. History surely beckons for the ‘Reds’ since they’ve scored 2+ goals in ten of their 13 away league matches this campaign, making them odds on favorites to do so again here. At least three goals have been scored in three of the last five meetings between these two clubs and we’re expecting more goals this weekend. Three of Brighton’s and three of Liverpool’s last six matches in all competitions have also produced over 2.5 goals, so you can see why we’re predicting goals in this game. Bet9ja have 1.63 odds, Paripesa have 1.73 odds and 1xBet have 1.73 odds.
That defense won’t have been happy to see visiting Bayern Munich smash seven past Salzburg in midweek during their Champions League Round of 16 ties. That result was remarkably the 16th time that Bayern have hit four or more goals in a competitive outing this campaign, whilst the last time Hoffenheim fans were in full attendance at a home H2H, Bayern ran out 6-0 victors. We are expecting more of the same here which is a high-scoring game with both sides looking to edge each other out. Bayern Munich come into this game after having a great consistency of scoring in both of their recent homes and away games. Hoffenheim missed the target only once in the last five outings but they don’t seem to have a problem in their home stadium. Bet9ja have 1.29 odds, Peripesa have 1.27 odds and 1xBet have 1.27 odds.
While the two teams have been in similar forms recently, Valencia are on a three-game winning streak in all competitions, which includes the win over Athletic Bilbao in Copa del Rey semi-finals. Four of the previous five head-to-head meetings between Getafe and Valencia have gone over 2.5 total goals and we can see that happening once again on Saturday. In addition to this, Valencia averaged 3.11 goals per game in La Liga this season, while Getafe averaged 2.15 goals per game in the league until now, making this a very interesting contest. Bet9ja have 1.54 odds, Paripesa have 1.62 odds and 1xBet have 1.62 odds.
Anytime Goalscorers
Morata
Alvaro Morata has netted 6-goals in Serie A this season for Juventus, scoring the winning goal last time out against Spezia. We’re backing the Spanish international to back up his goal from the last match with another against Sampdoria on Saturday. Juventus have a lot of injuries right now and Morata is likely to start the game and play for the entire 90-minutes. Bet9ja have 2.50 odds while Paripesa have 2.10 odds.
Lewandoski
After his hattrick against Salzburg, Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski took his season tally to an incredible 42 competitive goals in midweek. He also has 20 goal contributions (G14, A6) across 23 previous H2Hs. He has a great track record scoring against this side and we’re backing him to continue that today. Bet9ja have 1.47 odds while Paripesa have 1.40 odds.
Kane
Harry Kane has scored five goals in his previous four matches and he has seen his season get a much-needed turnaround as he is back on the scoresheet for his side. He is sixth on the PL’s list of all-time top scorers after his brace against Everton, two more for Tottenham’s Harry Kane would move him up to fifth. This should be more motivation to see him score today. Bet9ja have 2.65 odds while Paripesa have 2.35 odds.
Luis Diaz
The Columbian forward has had a great time settling into this Liverpool squad, resting Luis Díaz in midweek could help him get off to a fast start, and he’s scored four of his last six league goals during the first half. He’ll be an important player for his team here today which is why we have him added here. Bet9ja have 2.90 odds while Paripesa have 2.40 odds.
