It’s been an eventful start to the football campaign across Europe with all the top-tier teams already.
It’s rather too early to predict the eventual title winners
These Sunday fixtures look to provide us with a thrilling end to the weekend of games, and we have provided you with the necessary predictions today.
Straight Wins.
Both Leeds and Chelsea remain unbeaten in the Premier League after the opening two games but it is the Londoners that are being tipped to maintain that good run at the expense of the Yorkshire club this weekend. Chelsea has an excellent recent record against Leeds, picking up five wins and a draw from the pair’s last six head-to-heads in all competitions, so you can see why we’re backing Tuchel’s men to come out on top this weekend. Leeds secured a narrow 2-1 win at home to Wolves on the opening weekend and were then held to a draw at an average-looking Southampton side, while Chelsea secured a win at Goodison Park and followed that up with a draw against Conte’s Tottenham. Bet9ja have 1.58 odds, Paripesa have 1.60 odds and 1xBet have 1.60 odds.
Both Atalanta and AC Milan got off to winning starts last weekend and Sunday’s Serie A clash is going to be hard to call but we are confident that it will provide plenty of entertainment. We’re backing AC Milan to edge out their hosts this weekend as the visitors have won each of their last three meetings with Atalanta, two of which have come at the Gewiss Stadium. Atalanta has lost two of their last three matches in all competitions, while AC Milan has won five of their last six games including a 4-2 victory over Udinese last time out. Bet9ja have 1.83 odds, Paripesa have 1.88 odds and 1xBet have 1.88 odds.
Napoli is already off to a flying start following their 5-2 victory at Verona last weekend and now they have the home advantage against one of Serie A’s new boys, Monza. The visitors lost their first-ever game in the top-flight at home to Torino and now face an even bigger challenge away at one of the title favorites. There isn’t much history between these two clubs with the pair only meeting on four previous occasions between 1999-2000 when both sides were plying their trade in Serie B. Napoli are the big favorites to win this weekend and for good reason. The hosts have by far the stronger of the two squads, got off to a winning start on the opening weekend, and started last season with real purpose as well. Monza hasn’t faced a side of the class and ability of Napoli before and we’re backing the hosts to win. Bet9ja have 1.37 odds, Paripesa have 1.40 odds and 1xBet have 1.40 odds.
Struggling Sparta Rotterdam will host table-toppers Ajax this weekend in the Eredivisie. Sparta is winless so far in the division and is coming off a 3-2 defeat to AZ Alkmaar. Despite challenging their rivals for large swathes, a 65th-minute strike from Milos Kerkez was enough to condemn them to defeat. Ajax, meanwhile, has won both their games so far. They’re coming off a 6-1 demolition of Groningen. This has been a one-sided contest, with Ajax winning their last ten clashes. The last time, Sparta picked up a point from this tie was in the 2008-09 season. The recent form also favors the visitors ahead of the game. Bet9ja have 1.26 odds, Paripesa have 1.25 odds and 1xBet have 1.25 odds.
Newcastle faces one of their toughest tests of the season when they take on the Premier League champions Man City at St James’s Park this Sunday. Guardiola’s men arrive with their 100% record intact and without conceding a single goal so far this season. Newcastle has made a positive start to the season as well and is also yet to concede but they haven’t faced a side anywhere near the level of Man City yet. The odds on a Man City victory don’t offer the punters much in the way of a return, so we’re going with a Man City victory, City has won each of their last six games against Newcastle, keeping a clean sheet in every single one of those wins. Bet9ja have 1.38 odds, Paripesa have 1.39 odds and 1xBet have 1.39 odds.
Over 2.5 Goals
Empoli suffered a narrow defeat away from home on the opening weekend of the new Serie A season but will be hopeful that they can earn their first points in their backyard against Fiorentina. The visitors were given a stiff test by newly-promoted Cremonese but managed to come away with all 3pts in the end with new striker Luka Jovic opening his account for the club. We’re predicting goals in this game given the recent history between these two clubs and their performances over the last six matches. Four of the last six meetings between Empoli and Fiorentina have produced over 2.5 goals. Empoli’s four of their last six fixtures have witnessed at least three goals scored. Four of Fiorentina’s last five matches have ended with both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals being produced. Bet9ja have 1.62 odds, Paripesa have 1.72 odds and 1xBet have 1.72 odds.
The Chelsea vs Leeds game is included here again as we are sure of goals in the fixture. There is a good chance that we will see lots of goalmouth action on Sunday given the fact that four of the last five meetings between these two clubs have produced over 2.5 goals, including 3-0 and 3-2 wins for Chelsea in the Premier League last season. Four of Leeds’ and four of Chelsea’s last six outings in all competitions have also witnessed at least three goals scored, adding further weight to our second prediction for Sunday’s clash. Bet9ja have 1.70 odds, Paripesa have 1.79 odds and 1xBet have 1.79 odds.
Lille hosted the dangerously in-form defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 on Sunday night. While Lille – who wrestled the title off PSG in 2021 – was held to a 1-1 draw with Nantes, PSG scored five goals for the second week in a row. Les Parisiens became the first team since Reims in 1961 to rattle off so many goals in the opening fortnight of a Ligue 1 campaign. Lille is far from their title-winning side as their team has lost most of the talents leaving the club. Now PSG faces a test here but will surely have it easy here with them scoring lots of goals. The last two league matches between these two saw an over 2.5 goals outcome and we are sure of the same today. Bet9ja have 1.72 odds, Paripesa have 1.78 odds and 1xBet have 1.78 odds.
Bayern Munich returns for their third fixture of the season with the champions scoring 8 goals already and conceding just one, while Bochum has scored 3 conceding 5 in their previous 2 games. Their previous 12 meetings between both teams have produced more than 2 goals and we are sure of them averaging more than that today. Bochum has had a poor defensive start and Bayern will capitalize on this for the three points to continue their 100% record. Bet9ja have 1.24 odds, Paripesa have 1.23 odds and 1xBet have 1.23 odds.
Manchester City put four goals past Bournemouth without reply and none of them were scored by Erling Haaland. The goals were shared by Gundogan, De Bryune, and Foden. Newcastle won’t have too many complaints about their start to the season which has brought them a total of 4pts and two clean sheets so far. The game against Brighton won’t live long in the memory but both teams did have chances to win the game and on the balance of play, a draw was probably a fair result. With the H2H tie seeing more than 2 goals scored in four out of their previous five games. It is sure we will see more of the same here today Bet9ja have 1.57 odds, Paripesa have 1.58 odds and 1xBet have 1.58 odds.
Anytime Goalscorers
Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland top scores for Manchester City in the Premier League this season with 2-goals in his opening two appearances. The Norwegian striker is the favorite to win the Golden Boot ahead of Salah and Kane this season and we’re expecting big things from the young goal machine. Manchester City has plenty of options within their side that can score goals but Haaland is now the club’s penalty taker and will lead the line against Newcastle, so the odds are he will score. Bet9ja have 1.70 odds while Paripesa have 1.57 odds.
Osihmen
Napoli’s Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, is off and running this season after he scored one of the 5-goals against Verona last weekend. The 23-year-old is highly sort after around Europe having reached double figures in each of his last four seasons with three different clubs. Last season, Osimhen netted 14 goals in Serie A, his highest total for league goals in any single campaign, so you can see why we’re backing him to score against Monza on Sunday. Bet9ja have 2.00 odds while Paripesa have 1.72 odds.
Luka Jovic
Fiorentina signed Luka Jovic on a free transfer from Real Madrid this summer in an attempt to make up for the goals they lost midway through last season when Dusan Vlahovic made the move to Juventus. The Serbian striker scored last weekend on his debut for the club and will be hoping to recreate the kind of form from his time at Eintracht Frankfurt which earned him a move to the Spanish giants. We expecting big things from Jovic this season and have backed the Serbian international to score against Empoli this weekend. Bet9ja have 2.85 odds while Paripesa have 2.625 odds.
Neymar
It is safe to say that the Brazilian is back in form with his goalscoring now at the forefront. He has scored 3 goals in his previous 2 games and an added 3 assists. Lille would have no plan of stopping the in-form attacker here today. Also on penalty duty, he would surely convert the chances when given the opportunity. Bet9ja have 2.25 odds while Paripesa have 2.52 odds.
Mane
Sadio Mane looks at home in this Bayern Munich squad after already finding the mark and contributing to the goals scored in the team’s first two league games. He has scored 2 goals in three games for Bayern Munich this campaign and he would add to that tally today. The Senegalese forward is still finding his feet little by little and his opponent’s Today wouldn’t prove to be such a defensive challenge. Bet9ja have 1.90 odds while Paripesa have 2.00 odds.
