Atletico Mineiro seeks a long-overdue victory when Corinthians travel to Mineirao on Saturday after their winless run was extended to five games with a derby draw last week.

The hosts, though, are coming off a slump; after drawing 2-2 with America Mineiro at home, they have now gone five games without a victory in any tournament. They take on a Corinthians team that has struggled to impress and play well in Serie A. The guests are situated between the bottom four and the relegation spots. Despite their uneven recent form, Atletico Mineiro are the clear favorites for this matchup, especially with home advantage.
