The USA and Canada will clash on a global stage for the second time in 21 days on Sunday at TQL Stadium during the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup. The Yanks easily defeated Trinidad and Tobago 6-0 to win their group, while the Canucks defeated Cuba 4-2 to move on to the round of eight.

The 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinal matchup between the United States and Canada will be placed at TQL Stadium on Sunday. USA was thwarted to a 1-1 tie by Jamaica in their campaign opener, but they came out on top in their following two group-stage contests, defeating Saint Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago, respectively, by scores of 6-0.

Verdict
In just three games during the group stage, the Stars and Stripes scored 13 goals while giving up just one. They are also big favorites and have the match’s home advantage. They recently defeated Canada in the Nations League final, and now they want to build on that success. In the group stage, Canada drew two of their three games. They did score four goals in their most recent game, and they’ll try to keep it up in this contest.
They have never defeated the USA in the Gold Cup, and given the current form of the defending champions, we predict the Americans to win easily and keep their perfect record against the foreign team.
Although Canada has made significant progress in recent years, their performance so far has been disappointing due to the absence of luminaries like Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David, and Cyle Larin.
In their three group games, they only secured one victory, and now that veteran goalie Milan Borjan is injured, Dayne St. Clair of Minnesota United will have to defend against the ruthless American attackers.
