Abia Warriors v Katsina United

Tip: Abia Warriors win

Abia Warriors were standout performers in the league last season, and they have continued their strong start to the new campaign. They have won their past six NPFL games at home, and against a Katsina United side, which they have beaten in four of their past five meetings in Umuahia, they will be confident to earn another win. An easy home win for Imama Amapakabo.

Kano Pillars v Rangers

Tip: Over 1.5

This is a big game in the NPFL this weekend. Evans Ogenyi is under pressure to deliver as he is yet to win a game after three matches, while Rangers are entering this fixture on the back of a comfortable home win over Plateau United last time out. Pillars beat Rangers home and away last season. However, with the return of skipper Ahmed Musa to full fitness, they should be able to get goals against this Rangers side. Their past five meetings in the NPFL has produced over 1.5 goals.

Plateau United v Remo Stars

Tip: 1X (Plateau United win or draw)

Plateau United, under new management, remain the only side in the NPFL without a point this season. They welcome defending champions and current table toppers Remo Stars to Jos. However, they have a decent record against the Sky Blue Stars in Jos (P5 W4 L1), and they will be looking to get a much-needed win here. The return of winger Vincent Temitope should also boost their chances. That is why our selection for this match, which will be played at the New Jos Stadium, is a Double Chance bet that is in favour of Plateau United.

Warri Wolves v Kwara United

Tip:  Warri Wolves win

Warri Wolves have shown some toughness in their opening three league games of the season, conceding just one goal. It will be difficult getting past them in away grounds, not to mention their base in the Ozoro Stadium. Kwara United are also a tough nut to crack; however, they have lost on every visit to the Seasiders since 2010. And that is why we have settled for another home win for Warri Wolves 

Kun Khalifat v Elkanemi

Tip: Under 2.5 goals

Kun Khalifat are a newly promoted side in the elite division, and they have been given some baptism of fire with losses to Remo Stars and Kwara United. However, here is a great opportunity for them to pick their first win of the season, against bad travellers in Elkanemi. Elkanemi Warriors are one of two sides in the league yet to concede after three games this term. While the home side might carry the day, we strongly believe goals will be few and difficult to come by. Hence, the decision to go for the Over/Under market.

Rivers United v Shooting Stars

Tip: Rivers United win to nil

Rivers United are a conservative side, as they rarely score a lot of goals in games like this. They are still unbeaten after three games, while Shooting Stars are winless, but they have shown signs of improvement in the previous game. The Ibadan side is without a goal or a point in their past seven visits to the Garden City. That is why we will be going with the Win to Nil bet option.

Ikorodu City v Barau

Tip: Ikorodu City win & over 1.5

This is a match that should produce goals in addition to a win for the home side. Ikorodu City were superb in the league last term, and they have been unbeaten in their first three games of the season, which makes them due for a win. As for Barau, they are also winless, but Lagos is a tough place to travel to. The home side have won six of their past seven home league games, and that should be enough. Ikorodu City are strong and goal-hungry at home, so that is the reason for this combined market option.

Bendel Insurance v Niger Tornadoes

Tip: Over 1.5 goals

It has been a tough start to the season for Bendel Insurance, but it was expected after they changed almost the entire squad at the end of last season. The home side are known to be a low-scoring side, but all three of their games this season have produced over 1.5 goals. In addition, their past two matches in Benin against Niger Tornadoes have produced seven goals. This will be a close match to witness, and of course, there will be goals. An Over/Under bet is the best selection to make here. 

Bayelsa United v Enyimba

Tip: Draw

This is one of the toughest games in the NPFL this weekend. Bayelsa United lost their winning streak in Minna last weekend, as Enyimba also failed to beat Nasarawa United in Aba. The home side have been flying under new head coach Monday Odigie, and they will be confident in front of their home support. In this fixture, four of their past five meetings have ended in stalemates, and we believe another draw is on the cards right here. It is a bold tip, and one of the risky selections in this NPFL Predictions. 

Nasarawa United v Wikki Tourists

Tip: 1X (Nasarawa United win or draw)

Nasarawa United have a new-look squad now, but they still have last season’s top scorer – Anas Yusuf – in their ranks. They picked up a morale-boosting point at Enyimba last weekend, and they will be hosting a Wikki Tourists side that have garnered seven points from their first three games so far. The Lafia side have won their past six NPFL games at home, and they have also beaten Wikki in the past three games they have hosted. However, Wikki’s strong form is one of the reasons for this safe pick. That is why our selection for this match, which will be played at the Lafia City Stadium, is a Double Chance bet that is in favour of Nasarawa United.
