The Toffees are unbeaten in their past six encounters with the south London club, three of which have occurred this season, after defeating Palace 3-2 in the league in November and knocking them out of the FA Cup in the third round after a replay.
Everton’s most recent 1-0 success over the Eagles at Goodison Park in January is their lone win in 11 meetings across all competitions, but they have drawn two of their previous three and ran Manchester City close last weekend before losing 2-0.
Palace’s form is likewise terrible, with only three wins in their previous 17 league games, putting them in danger of relegation, and the pressure is mounting on manager Roy Hodgson, who may not be in the dugout for Monday’s encounter.
To add to the despair, the Eagles have struggled in each of their previous four away games, allowing an alarming nine goals in their most recent two league trips, losing 0-5 to Arsenal and 1-4 at Brighton’s Amex Stadium. Furthermore, Goodison Park isn’t exactly a hospitable environment for Crystal Palace as they want to get back on track, therefore, we’re betting on the hosts to win in the end.
