Summertime acquisition After hurting his shoulder in his first practice, Mikel Merino has not appeared for the Gunners. Meanwhile, England winger Bukayo Saka was the most recent casualty, being substituted out of the match against the North London derby.

Long-term injuries will prevent Atalanta’s star players Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini from playing, and defense players Rafael Toloi (muscular) and Ben Godfrey (back) will not be available for the team’s match against Fiorentina.
Better news for Gian Piero Gasperini: the return of two other defenders to full fitness: Both Albanian international Berat Djimsiti and Arsenal great Sead Kolasinac have recovered from thigh injuries. Kolasinac played 80 Premier League games for the club. Additionally, on Sunday, forward Nicolo Zaniolo, who is prone to absences, was back on the bench.
Ademola Lookman, who was expected to provide front-line assistance for Italy’s Mateo Retegui, scored five goals from three Europa League starts towards the end of the previous season. Despite this, he has not scored in his four career appearances against Thursday’s opponents.
