Betting Predictions
Three times crowned European champions The last group stage encounter between France and Poland at Euro 2024 is set to take place on Tuesday at the Westfalenstadion in Borussia Dortmund. Poland has already been eliminated.
Although Didier Deschamps’s team finished last and will undoubtedly be disappointed to be the first team eliminated from the competition, they are second in Group D behind the Netherlands in terms of goals scored. Their next opponents are the Polish team.
Head-to-Head
Over the past forty years, France has dominated this matchup, going eight games without losing since a 4-0 thumping back in 1982. Les Blues have won four of their encounters, including their most recent meeting in the 2020 World Cup, which ended in a 3-1 victory. Poland has given up five goals in their first two games in this tournament. Both teams have scored in seven of Poland’s past nine games, including both of these tournament matches. In 2022, France defeated Poland 3-1 in the World Cup.
Team News
Although Kylian Mbappe did not play against the Netherlands on Friday, he is expected to make a comeback to the starting lineup. Mbappe broke his nose against Austria after colliding with Kevin Danso’s shoulder. Manager Gerard Deschamps benched Mbappe on Friday, showing caution in regards to Mbappe’s recuperation.
However, the forward did participate in a friendly match against Paderborn’s Under-21s, where he reportedly scored twice and provided two assists. While Mbappe’s inclusion in the lineup will be encouraging, Deschamps will now have a difficult decision when selecting his starting lineup. Adrien Rabiot and Aurelien Tchouameni are likely candidates for inclusion.
Rabiot may start alongside Kante in a deeper midfield spot because he has been a favorite in recent competitions.
Regarding Poland, they do have reservations regarding center-back Bartosz Salamon because he was forced to leave his team’s match against Austria because of an ankle injury. Robert Lewandowski will likely return to the starting lineup because this might be his last match at a significant international competition.
Probable Line-Up
France XI:
Maignan; Kounde, Saliba, Upamecano, Hernandez; Kante, Rabiot; Dembele, Griezmann, Thuram; Mbappe
Poland XI:
Livakovic; Stanisic, Sutalo, Gvardiol, Perisic; Modric, Sucic, Kovacic; Pasalic, Budimir, Kramaric
Verdict
Tip: France to Win❌
Reason
Les Bleus appear to have the advantage in this match as well, having won four of their previous eight games with Poland and being undefeated overall. Additionally, during these eight matches, Les Bleus have also kept five clean sheets. Les Bleus should also be heavy favorites going into Tuesday’s game because the Eagles will probably be feeling defeated after losing to them in the tournament.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals❌
Reason
France’s defense has been excellent in their last few games. The Blues’ most recent clean sheet—against the Netherlands—was their fourth consecutive one in all competitions. However, Poland won’t hold back when expressing themselves, and they have defensive concerns now that they are eliminated from the competition. The White and Reds have conceded at least two goals in each of their first two Euro matches, and they have only managed one clean sheet in their previous eight meetings.
