Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal action between Nigeria and Angola are set to play matches on Saturday respectively.

Nigeria vs Cameroon
Nigeria was automatically qualified from Group A, which was a very unexpected development. The Indomitable Lions drew 1-1 with Guinea to begin their AFCON campaign, but the reigning champions Senegal soundly defeated them 3-1. In a crucial championship game, Cameroon overcame all odds to defeat Gambia 3-2 thanks to a Christopher Wooh goal in stoppage time. After three losses and a draw in their previous five games, Cameroon’s victory was their first.
Verdict
Expect a high-scoring match because of Nigeria’s attacking prowess and Cameroon’s tendency to leave defenses open. In the last five games for Cameroon, both teams have scored.
Nigeria was undoubtedly the more compelling team throughout the group stages, but Cameroon will benefit from having their captain return from injury, giving them a much-needed presence at the top of the pitch. Both of these teams will probably attack this game because they have a favorable semi-final draw ahead of them, and we predict at least a few goals to be scored.

Angola vs Namibia
Among the most delightful shocks of the Africa Cup of Nations this year is Angola. They ended top of the standings after shocking everyone with seven points from three matches in a tough group that included Algeria, Mauritania, and Burkina Faso. They drew 1-1 with Algeria before triumphing 3-2 over Mauritania and 2-0 over Burkina Faso. In all three of those games, Angola wasn’t the clear favorite, but they played surprisingly well.
Namibia is also one of the delightful revelations. They were placed in a group alongside South Africa, Tunisia, and Mali, and nobody anticipated them to advance, but they managed to win one of the finest third places in the competition with four points. Despite being a significant underdog against Mali in the championship match, Namibia’s outstanding defense allowed them to draw 0-0. Now that they are the underdogs once more, Collin Benjamin’s team hopes to surprise Angola as well.
Verdict
As an offensively weak team, Namibia has only scored one goal in the Cup of Nations thus far. They have preserved two clean sheets, though, and are a formidable defensive unit. While Angola has excelled in defense, they are a patchy offensive unit. Given that these two clubs are rivals from Southern Africa, a close contest is to be anticipated. Although both sides performed better than expected, Angola appears to have a stronger team. Intriguingly, Namibia advanced to the knockout stage despite only scoring one goal in three games.
However, Angola have already scored six goals. Namibia should not have a chance against Angola in the upcoming 1/8 final tie.
