Betting Predictions
Germany plays Denmark in a last-16 match on Saturday night to secure a spot in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals.
The hosts have performed admirably thus far in the tournament, even though they required a goal from Niclas Fullkrug in the 92nd minute to defeat Switzerland and secure first place in Group A. Before that, Julian Nagelsmann’s team easily defeated Scotland and Hungary, solidifying their position as favorites to win the tournament on home soil despite relatively modest pre-tournament expectations.
Head-to-Head
While Germany’s performance against Switzerland was undoubtedly not at its best, they had already qualified for the round of sixteen, so all attention should now shift back to them.
Even with a modified German defense, Denmark hasn’t appeared to be a powerful opponent at the tournament, so keeping them quiet should be enough to set up an easy victory. Germany has played seven games, winning five and drawing two. Just two goals have been scored by Germany in four of their last seven games. In Euro 2024, Denmark has not yet claimed a victory.
Team News
Germany must make at least one, if not two, defense reforms. After receiving two bookings during the group stage, Jonathan Tah was suspended, while Antonio Rudiger was dealing with a thigh injury that Nagelsmann called “problematic.”
Tah will be replaced at center defense by Nico Schlotterbeck; if Rudiger is out, Waldemar Anton may also start. Other than that, no major changes are anticipated, as Fullkrug’s goal against Switzerland will probably have to make do with a bench seat once more.
With midfielder Morten Hjulmand out due to suspension, Thomas Delaney, who was back in the Denmark squad against Serbia due to illness, could be more involved in this match. Christian Norgaard of Brentford is an additional candidate to begin.
Rasmus Hojlund, who has only managed two shots in his three tournament outings thus far, is predicted to maintain his position at the front.
Probable Line-Up
Germany XI:
Neuer, Kimmich, Rudiger, Schlotterbeck, Mittelstadt, Andrich, Kroos, Musiala, Gundogan, Wirtz and Havertz
Denmark XI:
Schmeichel, Andersen, Christensen, Vestergaard ,Bah, Delaney, Hojbjerg, Maehle, Eriksen, Hojlund, Skov Olsen
Verdict
Tip: Germany to Winâś…
Reason
The group stage in Denmark was uneventful. They didn’t win any games, but they also didn’t lose any. Slovenia got back into the game in Kasper Hjulmand’s team’s first meeting in Germany. They then played well in a 1-1 draw with England and proved to be superior over Serbia in a goalless draw. Even so, Denmark played a risky game in the championship match. The Danes were one surrender away from finishing bottom of Group C as Serbia pushed hard in the closing minutes.

Tip: Jamal Musiala to Scoreâś…
Reason
Another standout option for a cheap goalscorer is Jamal Musiala. Musiala was the only player in the group to put the ball in the net more frequently than Georges Mikautadze, the Georgian penalty taker, and he will be key to Germany’s offensive attempts in this encounter as well. The teenage striker for Bayern Munich has five shots on goal in this tournament and scored goals against both Scotland and Hungary. This season, he has 10 goals in the Bundesliga for his team.
