Betting Predictions
Arsenal travels across the capital to play West Ham United, a local rival, in the Premier League on Saturday at 5.30 p.m., hoping to replicate their previous visit to the London Stadium.
One day after the Irons’ shocking 2-0 victory at Newcastle United, Mikel Arteta’s team thrashed Sporting Lisbon 5-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Head-to-Head
Arsenal has had the upper hand in recent years and easily defeated them 6-0 on their most recent visit to the London Stadium. Only two West Ham victors and seven Gunners victory have occurred in the previous 11 meetings; the other two games have ended in draws.
So far this season, West Ham has defeated Arsenal twice in two meetings. They won 2-0 in the Premier League and 3-1 in the League Cup against the Gunners. Arsenal has lost all three of their meetings with West Ham.
Team News
The goal scorer Gabriel’s departure toward the conclusion of Arsenal’s victory against Sporting was a tiny blot on their Portugal notebook; it is still unknown what exactly was wrong with him, but it would not be shocking if he was saved for the match against Manchester United in the middle of the week.
In light of Gabriel’s potential absence, Arteta has two options: either he moves Riccardo Calafiori into a center-back position and brings Oleksandr Zinchenko out wide, or he makes a clean swap with Jakub Kiwior, as he did on Tuesday. Trossard and Mikel Merino could provide some new legs to the starting lineup, so the Arsenal manager shouldn’t be afraid to make a few unannounced changes as well, like he did in a surprising selection against Forest.
Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are the only Gunners players sidelined due to knee injuries, as Kieran Tierney eventually recovered from a hamstring issue to start on the bench in the Champions League.
Perhaps the most significant squad news for West Ham comes from the dugout, as head coach Lopetegui received his third warning of the season at St. James’ Park and was given a touchline ban for the match against Arsenal.
Edson Alvarez returns from a two-game suspension after being unclear if he would be able to play against Newcastle, but Lopetegui joins Mohammed Kudus, who is serving the final game of his five-match sentence, on the naughty step. In terms of injuries, former Arsenal player Dinos Mavropanos may start against his old team because Niclas Fullkrug’s calf issue is not anticipated to improve in time for the weekend and Jean-Clair Todibo was knocked during the victory against Newcastle.

Verdict
Tip Arsenal to Winâś…
Reason
If their last two performances are any indication, Arsenal seems to have found its attacking rhythm again. Gooners will cherish the early months of 2024, when Arteta’s team was tearing defenses apart for delight. As a result, even a West Ham team that slowed down Newcastle shouldn’t be able to hold the Gunners for very long this weekend. However, if the Irons supporters are hoping for any comfort, there shouldn’t be a recurrence of the six-goal shaming from the previous season.

Tip: Saka to Scoreâś…
Reason
There are a few scoring contenders in the Arsenal team and Bukayo Saka looks a solid option. The England international has registered a goal and an assist in each of his last two games and could be the danger man once again for the North Londoners on Saturday.
