On Thursday, Manchester United will host Sevilla at Old Trafford for the first leg of their quarterfinal matchup in an effort to win the Europa League for the first time since 2016/17.
Manchester United vs Sevilla
The Carabao Cup has already been won by Erik Ten Hag’s team, and they will play in the FA Cup semifinals later this month. The trophy chase will continue with the first leg of their quarterfinal matchup against Sevilla at Old Trafford.
After a brief period of turbulence, recent victories over Brentford and Everton have helped United to get back on track. Now, they are heavy favorites to continue their winning streak against a Sevilla team that is having severe domestic problems.
After the exits of Julen Lopetegui and Jorge Sampaoli, Jos Luis Mendilibar is the club’s third manager this season. They are now 13th in La Liga, barely five points above the relegation zone.
Old Trafford has been a fortress in all competitions, with Premier League wins over Brentford and Everton making it 21 victories and three draws from the last 24 games here.
Sevilla have suffered defeats on their last three continental travels and could make it four losses in a row for the first time in over seven years, perhaps best illustrating their ongoing issues.
Since the international break, United has not played at its fluid best, and Rashford’s anticipated absence against Sevilla won’t help them either.
The last time Ten Hag’s team lost at Old Trafford was more than seven months ago, and despite Sevilla’s stellar record in this competition, their troubles in La Liga suggest they will not succeed here. We expect Man United to win easily despite Sevilla’s brief comeback under Mendilibar.
In 2023, the Red Devils have proven to be unstoppable at Old Trafford, and we anticipate that trend to continue.
Tip: Manchester United to win/ Over 2.5 goals

Juventus vs Sporting CP
In their Allianz Stadium, Juventus will welcome Sporting in a crucial Europa League match. Juventus has been on a mission ever since the league docked them points. They have been playing well lately, and it looks like they will place near the top of the standings.
The Bianconeri hope to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to Lazio the previous Saturday. On the other hand, the Lisbon Lions enter the game fresh off a stunning 4-3 victory over Casa Pia. Sporting did well to defeat Arsenal in the round of 16, but given that Juventus has recently performed well at home, we are tempted to choose Max Allegri’s team.
Sporting CP, although unbeaten in ten games in all competitions, is still considered by many to be underdogs. However, looking at how the Green and Whites performed in the round of 16 against Premier League leaders Arsenal, this match is likely to be a tighter affair than the bookmakers are suggesting.
In head-to-head matches, Juventus has a perfect winning record and has recently been dominating the Serie A. They have been on a terrific run, particularly at home, and are adamant about finishing at the very least in the top six. Moreover, they might qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
Sporting, on the other hand, has lost their last two road trips and has significantly less talent and experience than their opponents for the day. Juventus to Win is probably a good pick.
Despite their recent performance, Juventus conceded two goals. Sporting, on the other hand, has scored three or more goals in three of their last five games overall and two or more goals in eight of their previous ten games. Also, both clubs scored goals in every single head-to-head matchup. There is a good chance that both sides will score at the Allianz Stadium.
Tip: Juventus to Win/ BTTS (YES)

Feyenoord vs Roma
Feyenoord will be depending on their recent outstanding performance to enable them to advance in the Europa League. The first leg must be won in order to advance.
Roma, however, has gained confidence after moving up to third in the Serie A standings. They also currently own the Conference League championship. They are not merely there to take part.
Feyenoord is having a fantastic year. They have eight points more than the next team in the standings, Ajax, in the Dutch Eredivisie, where they are now ranked first. Feyenoord has triumphed in five of its past six matches across all leagues. They defeated RKC Waalwijk 5-1 at home last weekend.
From the outset, the home team dominated, resulting in an easy victory. The season is fruitful for AS Roma as well. They are currently third in Serie A. The primary objective of Jose Mourinho’s squad is to place among the top four clubs in the Italian national league, but they also aim to perform as well as they can in the Europa League. AS Roma defeated Torino 1-0 on the road last Saturday.
Roma has never lost a match against another team, save for one draw. They have won their last two games, including a 1-2 victory on their most recent trip to this stadium. They are the defending European Conference League champions and are exuding confidence after moving up to third place in the competitive Italian top division. It would be wonderful to choose A Roma to Win.
Yet, Feyenoord did manage to score five goals in their most recent match and 19 in their previous five. In addition, the Romans have lost five of their last seven road games without recording a clean sheet. It’s likely for both teams to score in this match.
Tip: Double Chance/ BTTS (YES)
