15/12 Accurate Football predictions: Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

Betting Tips

In Friday’s Premier League match, Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper hopes to take a significant scalp against a revitalized Tottenham Hotspur after buying himself a little more time in the City Ground dugout. Last time out, the Tricky Trees battled to a 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers to halt their losing record, while Spurs defeated Newcastle United 4-1 to get back to winning ways.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

After a 23-year absence, Nottingham Forest participated in their inaugural Premier League season last year. Their poor road record proved to be their biggest issue, as they finished just four points outside of the danger zone. Even though it’s early in the season, they are once again in the relegation zone and have a dismal road record, suggesting that not much has changed this year. Although the forest is currently five points above the danger zone, there is much cause for concern given its current state.

Spurs surprised everyone with their impressive start to the season, both without their legendary player, Harry Kane, and under new coach Ange Postecoglou. But they had a horrible run of games in November and the beginning of December, which caused them to fall considerably in the standings.

Nevertheless, Spurs stemmed the bleeding with a victory over Newcastle, and given their somewhat softer schedule in the following month, they should have no trouble catching up to the league leaders. They are currently three points out of fourth place in the Champions League and seven points out of first place in Liverpool.

Nottingham is having a horrible run; in five games, they have only managed one point. They have only scored twice in the previous three games despite playing opponents who are objectively inferior to Tottenham. Nottingham lost three of its four games against the clubs in the top four.

Tottenham had a very difficult five games leading up to their match against Newcastle, following an outstanding start. But given how fantastic they looked and how much of a boost the win may be for the whole team, that emphatic 4:1 against the Magpies might be the turning point of the season. Now would be the ideal time to keep picking up points with a match against Nottingham, who are currently struggling.

These teams played each other three times in the previous campaign: twice in league play and once in the Carabao Cup, where Tottenham triumphed. These teams faced off three times in the previous campaign, once in the Carabao Cup and twice in the league. Tottenham won both of their league matches, while Nottingham prevailed in the Cup match despite Tottenham’s slight roster rotation.

Seven games have passed with a clean sheet for Spurs, while Forest has scored in six of their last seven Premier League games at the City Ground, for a total of ten goals.

With all this in mind, we’ll bet primarily on Spurs to win and both teams to score appeals; a 3-1 victory for the visitors seems like a plausible right-score prediction. Spurs can score three goals against Forest, who have allowed 13 goals in their previous five games. Spurs have scored eight goals in their last three games.
