For Leicester City, a draw with the team in second place would not feel like a huge loss, though. They still maintain a six-point advantage over the team in second place. They are now 11 points clear of the third-place team in the fight for automatic promotion. Leicester has won six of their previous eight games and is into this one undefeated.

Enzo Maresca’s team is now 11 points clear of third-place Southampton and will be heading to Cardiff in search of their tenth road win of the year. Out of 12 away championship games, the Foxes have won nine and lost only one, demonstrating their exceptional road performance.
Cardiff, on the other hand, is currently mid-table, around 25 points behind the Flying Foxes, having battled for form this season. In their last nine games, the Bluebirds have lost five of them, and they have only triumphed in three of their last ten league games. Erol Bulut’s team has suffered three straight losses at Cardiff City Stadium, and on Boxing Day, they were held to a 2:2 tie by Plymouth.
The Foxes claimed a 2:1 win when these sides met earlier this season, and a similar outcome seems likely on Friday evening, with Cardiff poor in recent home matches.
